Tried to go to this place for a work lunch on a Tuesday....ID required and passport for our foreign colleague, which they didn't have. Guy at the front was so rude... never going back to this place.

Red Saloon is the little bar tucked down below it's big daddy upstairs call El Prez. Red's is often less crowded and quieter than all the indoor and outdoor craziness going on upstairs and the food and drinks flow freely down here as well. The key factor about this area that Red's is a part of is its location here in the Promenade. There are other shops and restaurants in the Promenade and there is parking below but most importantly this bar is just a half block from the beach. Can't beat the location right here near the Surf & Sand of Pacific Beach.

Came here for a Packer game, they are all about the Packers. Their Bloody Mary was absolutely terrible.. their food was greasy as hell. I get it's bar food, but that was gross. Hopefully it was just a bad experience because all I see are good reviews, which surprises me.

The food is really good! The atmosphere is cool. But the service is so slow. They've been open long enough where they should have a better handle on the service.

Really bad food and dirty venue.

This is a dive under El Pres(at the moment). Known for its country music and lively late night dance floor. Beer prices are a bit steep for a dive. But the atmosphere is great for people watching. The late night bar staff is friendly and welcoming.
