Captain's Quarters Reviews
Awesome tiki-ish bar in San Diego! The build-out was amazing with the exception of the giant glass windows, which didn't go with the rest of the ship theme at all. We ordered the vegetable plate, which has a name that's escaping me. The website menu is a really annoying .pdf instead of easy to navigate live text. Details aside, the food and drinks were good and worth a visit.
Great hidden bar with a really cool atmosphere! I highly recommend the Espresso Martini and the Golden Lassi🤩 they were honestly some of the best cocktails we’ve ever had. Definitely worth a visit!
Clay was super knowledgeable. Went in with my brother while visiting him in San Diego. Had the From Russia With Love cocktail. Really good. The Singaporn Star cocktail, it was sooooooo good! Clay explained the whole process of how they clarify the drinks. 10/10

The Captain's Quarters is a popular bar in San Diego known for its affordable drinks and lively atmosphere. It primarily functions as a speakeasy gin bar, which complements its naval theme. The decor is a highlight, with nautical details and a ship-like interior that visitors find worth seeing. The hidden door adds to the excitement of the speakeasy aesthetic. Inside, the decor resembles a ship, with backlight false windows that mimic a never-ending sunset, creating a fun and energetic vibe. The atmosphere is very piratey and unique, making it a fun experience for guests. The bar offers a good-sized mocktail list and various cocktails, including favorites like the Landlubber tonic and Hi-Sea tonic, which has a touch of fruitiness. The food is very good, with popular choices such as the double double burger, tacos, and the standout burnt toast. Service is generally great, with friendly staff including exceptional servers like Clay, who add to the memorable visits. The place can be lively and noisy, especially during Halloween when the spirits and energy are high, transporting guests far away on a pirate ship adventure. Seating for two can be uncomfortable, but overall, the vibe is energetic and fun. Visitors often enjoy the drinks, decor, and the overall experience, making it a memorable spot to visit.
