Castañedas Mexican Food

What I like about this place is the live music on the weekends! We went in on a busy Saturday evening for dinner (on Mother’s Day to be exact). Maybe it wasn’t the best day to go but I couldn’t help but pass up the opportunity to dine with my kids and enjoy the music. They had a Banda playing inside the restaurant, and we were seated in the outside patio, which we were able to hear the music comfortably. Given that it was a busy night, the food did take longer than usual to get delivered to the table. Overall it was a nice experience and my kids enjoyed their food. Keep in mind they have mariachi on Sunday’s! I would revisit just for the music!

We ordered un aguachile rojo, una campechana, a simple carne asada burrito, and a seafood pasta.

The horchata tasted gross. The food was fine, but nothing amazing. They don't seem to have a lunch menu.

The birria that came on the plate was 90% FAT, only 10% was meat.

Great customer service.Great food and a great place to come and enjoy a drag show every wednesday. Also, they have Banda every friday and saturdays.

Food is great & the customer service is always outstanding! Love coming here.

Love the music

Excellent food, unmatched flavor, family atmosphere and at night there are events. I especially loved the Wednesdays with the artist impersonators, they are the best

I had such a great experience at this place.
The food is delicious and fresh. They have a beautiful bar stocked with very nice offerings.

Alex took care of me at the bar (and also tables on the floor at the same time, which I know is a skill) and he gave me spectacular service, with cool suggestions.

I liked the music they were playing on the speakers, but he mentioned that there is live music at night. I will be back for one of those nights!

I was in the neighborhood and decided to stop and give this place a try.

Our servers name was Alex who was more than wonderful and making recommendations, but also provided exceptional service the entire visit.

My friend and I, we ordered birria tacos and a chimichanga combo. Both of our dishes were delicious and a very large serving portion.

We will definitely be back next time we are in the area!

The food has gone really bad, used to be good but not anymore there’s literally no flavor on the food. The server tried changing us an extra items that we didn’t even get or order at all. Unacceptable and this behavior and actions are not right, should know better, lastly forced to pay over 60 on tip? For a server that didn’t even provide an acceptable costumer service, first and last time coming here. Only good thing is the music other than that horrible experience.

I started this post for the blatant, long brunette hair in my horchata I really was going to overlook. I didn’t ask for a refund nor made a fuss I simply threw it in the bushes but then I opened the California burrito to find no pico so I asked politely for them to add it. The first bite of my burrito I got a piece of plastic. Wow. I’m sure if I go again I’d have a better experience but that’s not going to be for a while.

Edit: as I’m eating because I really need to eat lunch it’s lacking flavor.. I won’t be back actually.

Had me waiting for a #18 my whole lunch break, saw that they catered thier tables first and even had someones food done right away when he came 15 mins after me.. not recommended for people who want to order take out. Bless the cashier she tried to make things right but not eating till my shift is over is not right either
