Honestly, I had given up on most restaurants in San Diego. I was underwhelmed at how uninspiring the flavors and smells coming out of these kitchens was. Then, I walked into Cellar Hand.
I love this place.
Such a wonderful experience. The service, the atmosphere.....the food!

Had a fantastic experience here. Ordered the half chicken and Cavatelli pasta. Both were amazing! The chicken was tender and juicy and the Cavatelli was flavorful. The bartender Steven was attentive and took great care of us. Check it out!
Food were decent. Honestly, some taste good, some was disappointing. Look at the spaghetti!? Not the best for the price
Cellar Hand offers an amazing dining experience with incredible food and a great atmosphere. Their menu features delicious options like the pink lettuce and guava salad, scallops, dips, olives, and a variety of small plates made with hyper local ingredients. Chef Ashley creates surprising flavor combinations and presents dishes beautifully. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, providing excellent service. The wine list is impressive, featuring fantastic local wineries, including the highly recommended Pali wines. This restaurant is perfect for special occasions, date nights, or catching up with close friends and is a welcome addition to the University Heights/Hillcrest area.
