ELITIST!YOU CAN'T GO HERE WITHOUT VALET PARKING, AND YOU CAN'T EVEN GO HERE IF YOU DON'T LIVE HERE. THEY WERE GOING TO VALET PARK MY CAR SO THAT I CAN RUN IN AND GET A COFFEE BUT THEN I WOULD HAVE TO LEAVE. THIS PLACE SHOULD NOT BE LISTED ON GOOGLE AS A CAFE IF IT'S NOT A PLACE THAT EVERYONE CAN GO TO!

Eating options at the Grand Del Mar are somewhat limited at lunch. There is lunch at the pool or In Room Dining. Amaya, the "main" restaurant is inexplicably not open for lunch, nor is Addison the Michelin starred restaurant or the restaurant at the golf club. So, we used Cent' Anni for breakfast, coffee and tea, pastries, lunches, and snacks. The staff here are very friendly and helpful and the food options are better than at the pool or in room dining. All the food options are displayed in a case, so you can see what you're getting. Most things are pre-made, so they can just hand them to you with no wait. The drinks requiring a barista take a short minute or two. Prices are commensurate with an expensive hotel facility, and are a bit higher than they would be elsewhere, but the convenience and quality at this cafe "almost" justify it. Some hotels have cafes like this that charge market rates and are clearly for the convince of the customers, and others turn them into profit centers. Clearly the Fairmont system's philosophy is the latter. Overall, it was our go-to place for drinks and food, and made a huge difference in our enjoyment of our stay.

Love this hotel. Wonderful for families, very friendly staff. Extremely clean and immaculate hotel. Will definitely be back. Beautiful grounds and lovely pool. Our suite was very comfortable and clean. Beds were great.

We wanted a relaxing vacation at a beautiful resort that also had appropriate Covid protocols in place. The Fairmont Grand Del Mar exceeded all of our expectations. We had one of their "basic" rooms, and even this room was much larger than most hotel rooms. It would probably qualify as a junior suite at other hotels. It was filled with luxurious details and touches, such as extra bath towels and an in-room espresso maker that made delicious coffee. The entire facility had many Covid safety protocols in place and we felt very comfortable. The entire staff was extremely friendly, warm, and welcoming.

I’ve been to this hotel many times and always have the most amazing experience. I always come with such high expectations, yet never leave being more impressed than the last visit. The staff go above and beyond with their service and I couldn’t be more impressed.

I have stayed at the Grand over 50 times since it has opened. The service was once the best in the industry, now they made us feel unwelcome. The service is absolutely terrible, it is now just an over priced, run down hotel with terrible service. The golf course literally didn’t have grass on the fairways. The best part of golf was “Jim” the caddie. If not for him I would have asked for my money back. The room was run down, broken lights and the bath tub didn’t work.! The restaurant service was terrible, they didn’t have several items that were on the menu. The “food and beverage director” couldn’t have been more unfriendly and she was rude. We ordered our drinks and they brought us what they had, we didn’t get what we ordered, yes you heard me correctly. They tried to convince us that a Corona beer was the same as a microbrew beer they had on the menu!!!? Seriously what happened to this place???? Never staying here again...

Stunningly beautiful property! Rooms are exquisite and larger than normal. Abundantly furnished! Bathrooms are luxurious with large shower and bath, dual sinks and lovely bath products! Restaurants are abundant on property with delicious fare! Staff are exceptional and strive to exceed your expectations at every turn. Property is only twelve years old but was built with exquisite craftsmanship and is abundant with design and detailed artisan work! Concierges, Simona, Jessica, and Adhara are adept in suggesting special places to dine and explore! A very special place to experience and explore!
