I called beforehand to make sure there was japanese cheesecake no answer I drove to this location only to be told they no longer sell Japanese cheesecake hence the name. Also they do not have fish filled Nutella huge disappointment. New owners need to own up to the name and bring back orginal items.

You know vacation time you always crave special and that's what I got to experience... The Mad For Cheesecake was so delightful. They have special varieties that you can pick and choose any and would be delighted. I experienced the matcha roll cake omg ..I just couldn't stop eating... the creme filling was smooth and very tasty. I had tried at least 5-6 varieties of cakes and was so happy that it was there in the party menu as well... by end of the party there was none left... it was so yummy... The strawberry boba tea became my kiddo's absolute favourite. I would highly suggest the place. The staff is patient and helpful.

Very disappointing experience at Mad For Cheesecake. The menu is extremely limited, and despite seeing a review calling the “double chocolate cheesecake to die for,” I didn’t even get the chance to try anything I originally came for. I wanted the Japanese cheesecake and a few slices of different flavors just to sample them, but the cashier told me they don’t have sliced cakes and would not cut any because it was “late in the afternoon.”

I ended up getting a full chocolate cheesecake — not cheap at $22 for a very small cake — since that was the only option. When we got home and cut into it, it was frozen solid. Anyone who understands cheesecakes knows that freezing a fluffy cheesecake completely ruins the texture, and sure enough, once it defrosted it turned into a messy mush.

If you’re going to sell frozen cheesecakes, at least warn customers. They clearly don’t understand what they’re serving or simply don’t care. Drove all the way from El Cajon for this and honestly wish I hadn’t. Very disappointing.

Stopped by Mad for Cheesecake in the Bonita Mall location and tried their ube ice cream in a cup. It was alright - decent flavor. We also got a chance to try their flagship cheesecake, which was good. They have a variety of options, so might be worth checking out if you're in the area

Enjoyed the Japanese cheesecake and boba tea at Mad for Cheesecake in Pacific Highlands Ranch in Carmel Valley. The taro and brown sugar milk teas were very tasty. It was our first time having Japanese cheesecake and we’re surprised it was more like ice cream than an American cheesecake. Loved the opportunity to try something new! Very friendly and quick service. Recommend!

The menu is limited and the cakes are overpriced… but the drinks are good - not to sweet, reasonably priced. popular around 3-4 pm.

Idk the cake was a little off but also expensive, it’s a fad dessert spot, but I appreciate it existing. It was a frozen cake in its defense.
