I absolutely love coming to this place any chance I get! I literally drive from LA straight to Chef budda’s to get my #4 with nuggets, rice and beans and greens with hot sauce, cornbread, red kool aid and extra nuggets. The cooking reminds me of my mom’s cooking so it is a very nostalgic place. The fish is fried hard… with the most perfect crisp and it hits every time! We have had Chef Buddha Blasin's delicious soul food at various events around San Diego. My family got to try their new Kool-Aid pineapple spears at the Cooper Family Foundation Juneteenth Festival this weekend and they were incredible!!! We got the Sharkleberry flavor & must try ALL the flavors now! Can't wait for the next chance to get some Chef Budda Blasian Soul Food.

Tried this soul food spot for dinner and came away pretty impressed. The fried chicken had a nice crispy coating without being greasy, and the mac and cheese was rich and full of flavor. I also got the collard greens, which tasted fresh and well seasoned. Portions were generous, so I even had some leftovers for the next day. Service was friendly and the staff checked in just enough without being overbearing. The place has a relaxed, welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay awhile....
