Best sushi place ever! The food and service is amazing!! everyone is so nice and friendly. our food came out so fast and was soo good. The spicy garlic edamame is the best I’ve had and the Samurai roll was amazing ?? overall the place is so good me and my friends loved it! I recommend everyone to go!!

We were big fans of Chiba and were sad to see it’s changed ownership since May. We decided to give this new place a try and regret it. The rolls were fairly priced but very small. The eel portion in My caterpillar roll was barely existent. To add insult to injury, we were charged a 20% service charge for a party of 5, excuse me! We didn’t even notice the charge until after we added tip…shame on this place. It didn’t feel like home as Chiba used to so we will move on to Chiba on friars and never go back here again.

Wow!!!This ramen is the best!! I ordered the Pork catsu. The flavor was great, the meat was tender, they crisped the bok choy!! Added level of texture and flavor.Best ramen I’ve had in San Diego
Went for tappi hour to try it out, and really liked it! Walking in we were the only ones there, restaurant was clean and well maintained. Immediately got drinks and the wait time was brief, even as other people showed up. We had three rolls, the kaarage appetizer, and the sesame chicken from the tappi hour menu. Sesame chicken was great, super good value with a big portion and really tasty. Rolls were good, standard sushi with relatively high quality fish. Finished with the tempura ice cream, highly recommend. Definitely going back

A solid sushi spot, but Kaki Sushi in Tierrasanta is still a better choice for quality vs price. PROs: Easy to park. The staff were very courteous, attentive, and knowledgeable. The new decor is very nice and modern vs the previous sushi spot. Lots of options in the bar. A big TV for any games to watch. Lots of table, bar, and outdoor seating. Bathrooms were clean. The seaweed salad was very crisp and fresh. The crispy roll and La Mesa rolls were also tasty with good sized portions. The hot sake was good as well. CONs: The chicken wings were bland and not very crispy at all. Seemed soggy or premade. Not sure. Most of the rolls are crab or shrimp tempura based with a small change like sauce or vegetable but a pretty high price compared to similar other sushi locations. A lot of places will have special rolls for 18-24 bucks but 40% off or something like that.

Super close to the house, the past sushi spot was just okay, but this place... yum!!!Ask about the specials, they're worth it. We had the Cazadores Roll, Ceviche, Hot Date Roll, Maguro nigiri and some Tako sashimi (get it Tappi style).I've been all over the world, but this place adds another interesting layer of flavor, with lemon slices, chili powder, sesame seed or even a little different ponzu. Delish. It's very unexpected in a strip mall sushi joint.

I ordered Teriyaki salmon bowl last night ohh so good. My son said the ramen is delicious too. I love the service the girl that took my order is very nice.

But higher prices for sushi.Barcelona Roll - very fresh, a little bland would add sriracha Mango Roll - very good, not too sweet Garlic Pepper Chicken Wings - delicious, very big wings with lots of flavorEgg Rolls - yummy, a few bites, nice and crispy
