Gelato was very icy which just made it taste like ice cream. It just wasn’t creamy.

rotten mochi

I asked the man at the counter for an egg and cheese croissant. He gave me one with ham in it. I asked if I could get a new one without because I do not eat pork.
He told me I told him I wanted an egg ham and cheese croissant but its okay hell make it again.
Why would I tell him I want pork in it when I dont eat it? I in fact did not tell him that. And he went on to go back in forth with me that I did in fact tell him that.
It wasnt a necessary interaction. Just say youll remake it. Its not even necessary for an apology because mistakes happen. Im very annoyed by what happened and I cant eat the food now because of how the mans attitude presented i do not feel comfortable eating it. There is clearly a menu item for one with no pork as well on the menu.
Im annoyed for the unnecessary accusation.
The silver lining is i will give it to someone else that may be hungry while I am out.
Summary: dont accuse someone with a dietary limitation that they ordered the food they cannot eat to begin with.

Picture below is to show that there is a menu item for what I asked for clearly there and I am not making unnecessary menu editing.

The chocolate cafe was fantastic! There was one worker present and she did wonders; chicken omelette, chicken zucchini flat, crepes and a white chocolate mocha were above 5/5 stars! She deserves so much praise! Will return for sure!

I come downtown once a year to eat here and they don't serve anything but breakfast until after 2.

This is my favorite gelato shop in San Diego. Their chocolate/dark chocolate is so rich and their tiramisu is 👌 the staff is friendly, the store is clean and there are SO many options to choose from. This is the place I go to treat myself and the ~only~ reason you'll catch me downtown for anything other than Comic-con, I will drive all the way from Alpine just for this cup of gelato.

Very delicious crepes and gelato. A little pricey but that's typical of the Gaslamp

We only tried the truffles here. They were just ok. Nothing out of the world. It is $2.5 per truffle, which I thought was a little expensive for what we had.

Tasty gelato at Chocolate Cafe in the gaslamp quarter. We enjoyed the chocolate hazelnut, salted caramel, milk chocolate, and pomegranate flavors. The staff were friendly and quick. Dog friendly. Cute interior. Recommend!

Reasonable prices, good food. Ice cream, chocolates, drinks, crepes, bruschetta, flatbreads and sandwiches. They have breakfast too, but not all day. Their flatbreads are really good (the rosemary chicken and zucchinni was excellent). If you want pizza you can go next door to Gaslamp Pizza.
Not too far from the convention center, worth the walk to have something different.
Indoor and outdoor seating is available.

Overall: 8/10
The price was reasonable. I ordered the large size with 3 flavors — they gave a generous amount of ice cream.
However, the restroom was not available, even for customers who made a purchase.

Had some wonderful gelato in gaslamp district of San Diego. Lots of flavors. Had a medium cone with salted caramel and pistachio gelato.
