Excellent food. Oyxcan style is not just tacos and enchiladas. Very unique menu. Both food & drinks. The mole sauce was the best. It was used in a variety of dishes. For example I ordered their short ribs with mole. WOW, it was great! The service was attentive & helpful. I highly recommend this restaurant. Enjoy!
This is the spot we come too when we’re craving our Gourmet Mexican food. The Oaxacan Birria Tlayuda is what I come here for. Their special cocktails are unique and crafted to perfection.
The food was quite enjoyable but I knocked a few stars down because I felt a tad uncomfortable by the kitchen workers staring at me as a woman who was eating alone.
My favorite brunch spot in San Diego, if not my favorite brunch spot of all time. Most of the time there’s a wait, but it’s worth it in my opinion. The foods never been short of amazing, and they really make sure you never see the bottom of your glass during bottomless brunch. These guys are amazing!
If you're looking for traditional Mexican food, this is not the place. Look elsewhere, perhaps across the street.
Wanted to give this place a try.
Very limited dinner menu.
Their tortilla soup is way too salty for consumption. Mentioned it to the staff, the bowl is left full but was still charged for it.
Food here was incredible but the service was not great. I came here with my family to celebrate a birthday. The host didn't acknowledge us when we walked up and seemed annoyed. We had a reservation but the restaurant was pretty empty. There was only 1 table inside that was taken and outside there were only 3 tables taken. The host asked inside/outside. We said inside and she rolled her eyes then led us to the table by the bathroom. My family was confused too because the place wasn't full why do we have to sit by the bathrooms? I asked if we could sit outside instead and apologized for changing our table. We just didn't want to sit by the bathrooms if we didn't have to. Our server/and the food runner also seemed like they didn't want to be there. We definitely felt like we were bothering them by dining there. Told staff we were celebrating a birthday. They didn't bring anything out. Maybe they don't do that and that's fine. And who knows maybe it was rough rush before we got there. But we definitely felt like weren't welcomed there.
All fantastic. Good food, nice people and beautiful place where you can eat great :)
Delicious food (and huge portions), kind staff, and great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend!
Nice people, great food 👌
Really good food and drinks! A quick meal because we were short on time, it was easy to get a reservation. I've also been here for brunch and it was just as delicious! Definitely recommend!

Food was amazing, so were the drinks! Our server was also very attentive but didn't want to disturb us too much.
Exceedingly good Oaxacan food with excellent service and decent cocktails to boot! We really enjoyed our meal
The food at Cosina de Barrio was incredible—each dish was packed with authentic, rich flavors that truly felt like a taste of home. The ingredients were fresh, and the preparation was spot on. Every bite was a celebration of traditional flavors. The drinks, though, were a bit too inflexible for my taste; they lacked the creativity and variety I was hoping for.
Really good food and place to come wit family and have a great time. We all loved what we picked. Birria tacos , memelitas and ceviche 😎🔥
We had a work winter gathering and had a great time. The hosts were accommodating to reserve the lounge room for our party. It was spacious enough to hold a few table games. The host was very attentive, kind and patient. We all enjoyed ourselves very much!!!
