great for groups!
I still think about this chicken spot we stopped at one time like 8 years ago on our trip from New York.

Didn’t eat here. Walked in, sat down: table smelled like dirty rags, menus had sauce all over them. Place is gross. No thanks, walked out.
Way too much competition in this area to run a filthy restaurant.

Soul spicy tenders. Chicken sandwich. Anything. This place tastes like they spent time in a lab perfecting it. They did.

Tasty Korean food at Cross Street Chicken and Beer on Convoy Street! Nice chill vibe to hang out at. We enjoyed the Korean fried wings with the Seoul spicy and honey flavors. The corn cheese was also good and nice house lager. Friendly staff and quick service. Dog friendly patio with a big connect four game and an arcade punching game. Recommend!

Everything was delicious and well priced. I had the lemon pepper non battered wings and they were SO good. Pleasant outdoor seating and a couple of backyard games that our family had fun playing while we digested our food. Great choice on a Saturday afternoon.

Food is mediocre. Chicken was way oversauced, too tough, and the breading doesn't stay on very well. For something like $5-7/tender it just isn't really worth it.

I’m honestly surprised this restaurant has a 4.5-star rating, especially in the Convoy area, which is packed with outstanding food options in San Diego.
The service was decent, but unfortunately the food was very disappointing. We ordered ramen, fried chicken, and a salad. The ramen tasted like instant Shin Ramyun you could buy at any Asian grocery store. The fried chicken was easily the worst I’ve had, lacking both flavor and texture. Even the salad felt low effort, topped with canned fruit.
With so many excellent restaurants nearby, I would recommend exploring other options before choosing this one.
And if you’re wondering why I picked this place… you’ll have to ask my wife

Disability accessible ☆☆☆☆☆
We came in for lunch with two disabled persons in our party, and our server Nissa blew it out of the park.
Ordered 3 different dishes which were all delicious, hot, and fast – including drinks. Before the dinner rush is perfect for anyone that may be overstimulated easily.
Wonderful atmosphere and friendly accommodating staff ♡
