Great Korean BBQ spot! They use real charcoal grills, which makes a big difference in flavor. The staff doesn’t speak much English, but they’re very friendly and super attentive they made sure everything was cooked just right. Would definitely come back!

The best Korean BBQ I've had in San Diego. Don't worry about it not being all you can eat. The BBQ combos have generous portions. For two of us, we ordered Combo A which says it serves 2-3, and we felt like it could have nearly served 4. The banchan (side dishes) have good variety. Everything we had tasted very fresh. My favorite thing on the table was the bulgogi. It was fantastic; I've been to other places where the bulgogi marinade was too sweet, but the flavor of DJK's bulgogi was perfect. My friend's favorite was the doenjang jjigae (fermented soybean paste stew) that came with the Combo. The servers were friendly, quick, and helpful, showing us how to put the meat on the grill to cook it the best. Not to mention, their grills are charcoal, not gas. Highly recommend this place.

Additional info for times I've visited since 7/31/2022:

Every time we've gone there, it's been consistently high quality food with good service. We've tried Combos A, B, and C now, and never been disappointed. Their doenjang jjigae is consistently a favorite, and their kimchi soondubu is fantastic, too. Never been let down by them!

Beef tongue was good. Marinated beef was dry.

The service was really bad. They cook a ton of meet onto the bbq. As soon as the first batch is cooked, they immediately dump the 2nd batch. We have no time to eat. Eventually, a lot of the meet were overcooked.

At the end, when they removed the pan, all the ashes fell onto our plates so we could eat the rest of the food.

We consciously reduced the tip amount due to bad service. They were angry and trying to educate us that 20% tip is normal.

Charcoal, quality meat, different types of grills (for different meats), good banchan, and attentive staff. Family favorite and the place that I would recommend in San Diego for good KBBQ and get a bit more of an authentic experience (vs. the usual AYCE spots).

Honestly when I first walked in I was confused, I didn't know there was regular eating and then there's the Korean BBQ, so if your new to this place ask to be seated in the BBQ place not the normal seating!!. Besides the confusion when getting seated the food was absolutely amazing!!! The service was amazing (I forgot my wallet and they walked out and reminded me I left it!!) This Korean BBQ is nothing like you will see before, they will cook it in OPEN FLAME!! FLAVORS ARE BURSTING ON MY TONGUE 👅👅. 100/100 please please if your debating going here, GOOOO IT WILL NOT DISAPPOINT!!!!!!! I got option A AND ATE THE WHOLE LOT!

I wish I had taken pictures of the meal, but it was pretty great! I've been here twice now but each time I came here, I had great service and a great meal. The first time I ordered a-la-cart and the service was quicky and friendly, however I'd HIGHLY suggest going with one of the combo meals if you're able to. The bonchon sits well with every order of meat that comes your way, and the quality of the meat as well is superb! Not single cut was too thin or too thick. Even the brisket was thin enough to have a good crisp to it but still had enough fat to burst with flavor. I'd come back in a heartbeat.

It is the first time we came here. We had a set lunch for 4-5 people. We got to enjoy several bbq items on their menus. The server helped us with some cooking. The food was very delicious, and the service was great. We definitely recommend this place for Korean bbq.
