ordered a passion fruit black tea. usually so good, this was passion fruit FLAVORED. no seeds at the bottom. 1 million sweetness. good thing they are very nice there
It has been three times out of ten times I went that they forgot to put boba in my drink. It's very frustrating.
At this location the manager wouldn't remake a drink. The drink had a burnt flavor. He said if we wanted a different drink we had to pay for it. Don't order the hokkaido black milk tea or don't go to this location.
It’s fine. Costly, chemically tasting milk teas, the tea themselves are alright. .25 cents for no ice is absurd. Asking for customization resulted in being lectured like I couldn’t understand?

I only do reviews when I feel they're worth the time for.
Came by here after work since it was the closest. I can usually rely on Ding Tea to give me some decent drinks, but my first time at this location was a complete shock.
At around 10pm on March 24, 2025, I ordered a Large Thai MT at 75% sweetness level . Thai MT tends to vary on sweetness, depending on what boba shop you go to. So I went with 75% to be safe, but damn, this felt like it had none. As soon as I tasted it, it was insanely bitter. The kind of bitter that makes you want to wash your mouth. I made sure to mix it, too, in case it just sank to the bottom, but nope. In my head, I already knew why.
But since I hate wasting, especially since this cost me $8.47, I waited 'til I got home to try it again. The common source of sweetness for a Thai MT tends to be either condensed milk or half & half. I tried to fix it by adding both, separately, but nope. Did not help at all. Neither did some water.
The problem is that this batch of black/thai tea they made was most likely over-steeped. The longer you cook tea leaves, the more bitter it gets. First time I've ever had to dump a Thai MT down the sink :(
Maybe I'll come back to try other drinks and maybe whoever made it just didn't care enough to remake the batch, but based on previous reviews... I don't think I will.
The aesthetics are wonderful and the place overall seemed spotless. Staff seemed pretty chill. But none of these matter if the drinks aren't good.

Overall: 3.6/5
Such a good place love the boba and the people there
Ordered a matcha milk tea so disappointed. The color of it was mint at best. Its like they whispered “matcha” into my drink and hoped for the best.
I dont really do reviews but this one deserves it. Worst boba spot I've been to yet. I ordered large wintermelon tea with golden boba. I got large water with golden boba.
I’ve given this spot several tries now hoping to like it since it’s the local boba spot. Unfortunately everytime the service is so rude, the tea is warm, and you can tell the boba balls are not fresh and have been sitting awhile. Really junk quality for how much they want $8-9/each.
Worst boba tea in SD, don’t waste your money and time.

All good
Cashier was very friendly and helped me out even though it was my first time there and I didn’t know how to order. I walked out happy with my iced milk coffee which is exactly what I was looking for.

drinks are okay and prices seem average. However they charge extra for no ice..
Worst Ding Tea I've been to. Usually like Ding Tea but this location had boba pearls that tasted like soap and was entirely too sweet, couldn't finish the drink.
When I walk into an establishment I would like to be greeted. But for no one to be anywhere in sight… yikes! I think young people don’t see the value in good customer service so they don’t provide any. Young lady on her phone texting when they didn’t have what we wanted she didn’t even offer an alternative. It’s ok we’ll go to Starbucks ??♀️
