Oh Effin's..You were one of my first meals in San Diego when I went to college, and one of my last meals when I left San Diego. I used to live next door for 5 years, and when people couldn't find my apartment, I would tell people that I was the place next to Effin's. I would come here often just for a drink, or a break from a studying. I loved the pizza, and it was great just to have a hangout so close to where I lived. You made my college years great. There were so many good memories there filled with good people, good music, and good food. I will miss you dearly . Good luck to all of the staff.

Went here 2 years ago and it was some of the best food I've had in San Diego. Then went back a couple month ago and lets just say I'll never return do to a failing in service, unacceptable food practice, and the start of many endings for places like this. Save your time and money it's worth more than Effin's can give you.

I had an appointment next door and finished up hours later, hungry! I stopped in and ordered to go, I sat there and waited, super easy to pull up menu, just scan QR code- the bartender/waiter was super sweet, he offered me a drink while I waited for my food, on the house he hooked me up with a seltzer and lime- Food was ready, I went to my car and couldn't help but opening because it smelled so GOOD! I ordered a vegetarian quesadilla-oh my goodness!! So freakin good, bursting with flavors!! I was only to take a bite and head home but it was so damn good I ate it all and the potato wedges !! I had to make a call and give the chef props!! Definitely would like to go back to try more on the menu and have a lil drink!

Effin's... how long has it been? Ages would be an understatement, but I couldn't tell you exactly either. I can say with certainty that my age did not have a 3 or a 4 in it though. This is not the college bar that it once was but that's not because of the decor on the walls or the history that's baked into the walls. It's because of the damn pandemic and the rules that these businesses have to put into play to open. That being said, Effin's has done a great job of still creating a vibe all while being compliant. Check out the daily specials and dip in for a few drinks, supporting a neighborhood biz is now more important than ever.

Food was good but the service was really slow...there were only six tables being used and it took 20min just to get a beer order then 15 to order food. Probably still going to give it another shot when things get back to normal.
