I'm a big tea drinker, so I'm often disappointed with I order tea out because many places don't know how to steep it. Elmisa has it down with the Honey Bear Tea Latte. So good! The Elmisa Toast is delicious, too. I don't live in the area, but tried it when meeting up with friends who live in various areas of the county. I also get imaging done nearby at UCSD, so I order online and take food home when I have any tests, which is easy and super convenient.

I got a NYC toast and a smoothie. It surprised me that I received all the food in less than 5 minutes in the morning, and everything was delicious and tasty.

Such an amazing cafe! The breakfast sandwiches are worth to try!! Everytime I go to LA i stop at this place before to get something for the road!

There are some drawbacks when going here, but there's a lot to like.
Drinks: The smoothie I usually get has a distinct artificial flavoring, though it might be from the protein powder. It's not bad despite this, unless you're prone to sugar headaches. Coffee is fine
Food: The bakery items generally make me sad, I don't care for them. However, the rula sandwich is really good! It's oily though, but you can ask them to go light on the oil. It's unfortunately pricier than a few years ago, but inflation hits everywhere I suppose. I still enjoy the sandwich enough to keep buying it, it's hard to find something quite like it.
The sandwich is my main reason to come back, but I'd encourage others to check out the other things they have

I come here often because the food, coffee and staff here are exceptional! There hasn't been a food item here that wasn't good. Everything tastes fresh and healthy. The coffee choices are great and don't taste bitter. The staff are friendly and welcoming. This is always our go-to place.

Wow! It was my first time visiting this little cafe today and it’s the best in the neighborhood. My coffee was PERFECTLY sweeten and the owner was so pleasant to talk to.
Especially excited that this is a family owned business and I’m happy my money is going to the first place.

I am usually the type of person to stick to the menu item that I know and love but I've been adventuring out of the norm here and I always love everything!! The smoothies are a bit on the expensive side for what they are but I love feeling confident that everything is fresh. I never worry if there's going to be spoiled arugula in the healthy breakfast bowl, or mooshy strawberries in the acai bowl. Never. Always delicious, always fresh.
