They do not accept cash, yet they charge a 3% service charge for using debit or credit
Is this not cornering the public?
Hot chocolate with caramel for $15.00…..

Kid-friendliness: The location on union FORCES people to put their strollers on the side of the restaurant.

First let's get this out of the way: the desserts are delicious.
The reason I gave it three stars is because I cannot figure out why the owners don't have a menu of cakes that are available for sale. They have a menu of sandwiches and other non dessert things, but not cakes. You'd think a place that specializes in desserts would have a menu of the desserts they sell, but they don't. You have to look at the cakes on display that look interesting, point to them, and ask what's inside, and of course you're holding up the line while you're doing this. You have to point to each and every single cake and ask "what's this? What's inside that one? And how about this one?" Why not simply have labels on the display cases that summarize the ingredients? Why not have a menu? This way people can window shop and find the cake they want without holding up the line asking a bunch of questions. Plus I felt very rushed when it was my turn to order, because there's a long line of people behind me and I have absolutely no idea what's inside each cake, so I pretty much *have* to ask a lot of questions because I want to know what I'm buying.

This place has the absolute worst customer service. Every time. Unfortunately my wife likes a cake there, so I have to go. Food is overpriced.

Was excited to get the passion fruit ricotta cake because I loved it the first time, but this time it tastes (and looks) like egg salad. I still finished it lol. But it shouldn’t taste that way.

Stopped by today to pick up a cake for a birthday event. I'm a construction contractor so my appearance is not the best after work. They're very unfriendly, pretentious, and fake. Not sure what is the hype all about, the cake was mediocre at best, staff was entitled, place looks soulless and cold and nothing like traditional bakery. Everything is unrealistically overpriced. I know better spots with more delicious baked goods and warmer character for 1/4th of the price than this place. Plus, this place doesn't take cash...why would I support this type of business?

My son picked out a cake for his birthday that was supposed to have had a balance of white cake, creme brûlée, and chocolate which sounded great! We waited until his birthday night to cut the cake and sing happy birthday and to our surprise we ended up with a chocolate moose cake that was much too rich for our liking. My son was disappointed and said it tasted like a chocolate cake from Costco which I know he doesn’t like. I paid $66 + tax for this 6 inch cake that we didn’t enjoy or eat. It’s important to keep in mind that birthday cakes build memories and it’s unfortunate that extraordinary deserts didn’t take more care with my purchase!

Came here a week ago with my family, they forgot one of our cookies. So we figured we could just tell them next time we came in and they’d give us our cookie, we were wrong. The girl at the register this evening clearly didn’t care and didn’t give us the forgotten cookie nor did she try to make things right. Usually we have had great experiences here over the years so I’m sure we will be back, just surprised at the lackluster customer service.

A Dessert Disaster You Won’t Forget

If you’re searching for a dessert experience that defies the laws of food and sanity, look no further than this disaster zone disguised as a restaurant.

Let’s start with the scone, which was so dry it could’ve doubled as a relic. I’ve never eaten something that absorbed all the moisture in my mouth while simultaneously draining my will to live.

Next up, the cookie. Or should I say, the “Dusty Crumble Surprise”? It disintegrated the moment I touched it, leaving behind nothing but a sad pile of cookie confetti and my broken dreams.

But the pièce de résistance? The chocolate streusel. This abomination should come with a straightjacket—it belonged in an insane asylum, not on my plate. Each bite was a wild journey into the unknown, and by the end, I wasn’t sure if I was eating dessert or having a nervous breakdown.

1 star, because at least the water didn’t betray me.

I have been coming to this bakery for years now, and it never disappoints! I recommend them to all of my family and friends and frequently bring guests here when they are in town. Truly spectacular in every way!
