I think this place was a little over-hyped, and I certainly had ridiculously high expectations when I walked in the door. But they deserve some of the blame for that-- you really can't call yourself "exceptional" and then expect me to settle for anything less. I had the chocolate croissant bread pudding and my friend had the tres leches cake (at the cashier's strong recommendation). They were good, but extraordinary is a stretch.

SOOOOO good. Their lemon ricotta cake is so good. I highly recommend you stop by and give it a try with some coffee. YUM!

Got the brownie cheesecake from here! It was so decadent, loved the edible flowers on top of it. It was so worth it for only $6. Definitely a must visit especially if you're craving something sweet.

Their cakes were good, but the ice creams.... Different story. Most of it was melted when it was served to us. But it did taste good. Their sundaes are large, and we had to bring it home in order to finish it. Overall, it was good, but it can be better

Was in San Diego for work, and heard people talk about Extraordinary Desserts. It was not too far from the hotel, so I headed over there. Wow. The most beautiful concoctions - cakes, pastries, pies, and so forth. Also, it seemed to be an after work hangout in downtown SD - lots of professionals sipping their drinks and enjoying a little sweetness. I got the sugar bun and the golden milk (non-caffeinated). They were both delicious - I ended up taking quite a bit back to the hotel because the portions were decent sized. I finished them the next morning lol. Check them out!

The best dessert and coffee in town! Looooved their Crostatas caramelized apple. I just wish they update their serving dishes!

Extraordinary desserts, but be prepared for a bit of a wait. The line can get quite long, especially during peak hours, and the wait might extend longer than you'd anticipate.

It's a nice dessert place, but it can take as much as 45 min of waiting to get one slice of cake while it's "a little busy" according to Google (just happened to us).

Leaving a review at 2:40am as I can't fall asleep due to their "decaf" cappuccino. I ordered decaf, and really emphasized it as it was around 8:30pm and didn't want to stay up all night. Please make sure you give your customers what they order, esp when it comes to caffeinated vs decaf. Dessert was good. Service was friendly.

Hadn’t been to this location in years but stopped in yesterday for dessert. There was an issue with the computer system which held up the line for a bit, but the gentleman manning the register did a really great job managing everyone’s expectations and getting things moving again.Seems like management needs to invest in better IT/POS systems but other than that minor inconvenience this place never misses. One thing I particularly love about this business is they clearly use A+ ingredients in everything they make. That goes a long way these days when many businesses are cutting corners.
