Many menu choices besides noodles & including pork & rice, multiple noodles plates, chicken wings, edemame, fried dumplings & bao. We had a large party but we're seated & served promptly. So many good flavors. Share plates with friends. Beer on tap.

The dumpling sampler was delicious, the chicken heart yakitori was tuff and tasted burnt, not grilled. Very little effort on the yakitori in comparison to places like Taisho. There is no personality to this place at all. You are treated like a dollar sign, not a person. Nobody says "Hi" when you walk in, just "How many?!?" You are expected to pay and tip before you even get a glass of water. The "waitress" never stops by to see how things are or if you need anything. Very cut and dry, "Pay us, Eat, and Get Out!" kinda vibe.

They close 4-6 but if your in by 4:00
They won’t kick you out. The staff will just be eating before dinner rush.
Parking: Shared lot with other restaurants so it gets full fast. Tight spaces

Wow, Delicious! We tried a large portion of their menu: Chicken soup dumplings, takoyaki, fried tofu in delicious sauce, black garlic oil ramen, braised beef noodle soup, spicy braised beef noodle soup (not as hot as you think) Hawaiian drink all 10/10, spicy cucumber salad, custard bun, and edamame all 8/10.
You order and pay through your phone then it's delivered to your table. IDK why people are complaining about service it's almost self serve lol. Everyone was friendly, and we (party of 4) were seated right away, QR code put our order in right away, Food was also delivered promptly.
Parking is TERRIBLE so beware, but worth out

This little place was cozy and had Japanese atmosphere. The food was fine, we had gyōzas and dumplings, both those items had the same quality as any other place we've eaten them. I am a ramen enthusiast and their ramen is not great. I will never return to eat here.
Reading other reviews, people aren't happy about the pay first service, we didn't care for it either. We had to order online when we sat at the table and scanned the QR code. You are supposed to leave the tip before you get any service, and the service was subpar. Every time that we wanted to order another drink (no free refills on any of them), we had to open a new page to order, the last order, the server forgot a diet coke and gave my husband a funny look when he got up from the table too go get it from the counter. They wouldn't come to the ask if we needed anything else, we needed napkins and never got them.
All and all, this was not a good place to visit. I was looking forward to the ramen and after a couple of bites, decided to take it home, and maybe, finish it there.
Parking: On Convoy, very difficult to find parking.

The food was lack luster at best I usually go for ramen somewhere else but we decided (party of 3) to try this place out and right away we get a server with shirt short hair “helping us order” she was very dismissive almost like we were annoying her having to take our order, we were missing napkins after our ramen came and she didint even aknlowdge the fact to say if we needed anything else while she was just standing around doing Nothing won’t be back if I hate ur job just quit we go out for the experience and this just wasnt it

Staff where great. Would highly recommend
I don't like the digital way of paying for your food. They're trying to be too high-tech. I like customer service and interaction. When you're taking my order
Parking: I don't know how you are out of Dan dan noodles. For a long period of time

Facing East Noodle Bar is one of my top go-to spots in Convoy, offering consistently amazing food and a cool dining experience. Their menu has something for everyone, and the dishes are packed with bold, authentic flavors. One of my must-order items is the Spicy Shrimp Wonton (8 pieces), which features perfectly tender wontons in a flavorful, spicy broth. Another standout is the Spicy Garlic Wings (10 pieces)—crispy, juicy, and seasoned to perfection. For a lighter start, the Soy Garlic Edamame is a simple yet satisfying appetizer that sets the tone for the rest of the meal.
The ramen here is exceptional and a clear highlight of their menu. The 黑虎 Black Garlic Oil Ramen is rich and deeply savory, with a luxurious broth that is both comforting and indulgent. For a spicy kick, the 辛い野菜 Spicy Garlic Vegan Ramen offers a vibrant, plant-based option with robust flavors that rival any meat-based ramen. They also offer the 椰菜 Vegetarian Ramen, which is lighter but equally flavorful, making it a great choice for those seeking a delicious meat-free meal. Each bowl is thoughtfully crafted, with fresh ingredients and perfectly cooked noodles.
To round out the experience, I highly recommend the Hawaiian Sunset Fruit Tea, a refreshing and tropical drink that pairs beautifully with the bold flavors of the food. The balance of sweet and tart is delightful, making it a standout beverage. Overall, Facing East Noodle Bar never disappoints with its outstanding food, welcoming atmosphere, and creative menu. Whether you're craving wings, ramen, or a unique drink, this spot has you covered and keeps me coming back for more.

Yet another restaurant that wants you to order and pay first. Why even pay tip? Not sure if the ramen is the go to here but I saw they had zha jiang mien and lu rou fan, two of my favorites, so I had to try. While having bigger pieces of pork belly is ideal in some dishes, not so with these 2 dishes. The zha jiang mien sauce was too salty and just didn't really go well. Will not be coming back.

Amazing place. Food is incredible, amazing ramen and garlic wings. Reasonably priced too! 10/10, 5/5.
Even though I really wanted to like the food, the noodles we got were super underwhelming and lacked any flavor.:( The waiter we had was nice but the other waitress was kinda dismissive and the price was far to expensive for the quality of the food.

Maybe I'm old-fashioned or maybe I'm cheap or both, but I don't tip at places like this because there is no wait staff. You have to scan a QR code to see the menu, order everything on the website, and then a guy with a cart comes by drops it off. Makes it very difficult to customize anything. I'll tip a waiter or a waitress after I've eaten, but why would I tip before I've even eaten my food.
