Hongyuan Kebab 홍원꼬치구이 洪苑串 offers excellent food and service in a great environment. The food is fantastic, better than expected, and always good. Recommended dishes include the lamb and beef spicy skewers, which are amazing, and the shrimp fried rice, which is superb. The sweet sour pork is crispy and flavorful, while the deep fried mushroom tastes almost like pork. The lamb spare ribs are juicy and delicious, and the rib finger is juicy and tender. The cold noodle and whole squid are also highly praised. Some items, like the Japchae, are a Chinese style fusion that is a little sour, and the quail is gamey. The dry tofu skin and kidneys are not as well-liked. The atmosphere is great, though the restaurant is not a huge place. The servers are super friendly and attentive, with one server noted for running the whole place alone during busy times, handling everything with great skill and a good smile. Parking is horrible. Overall, the food is amazing, and customers would definitely come back.
