Wondered in after reading the sign outside advertising a special. Somalian food I had not ever experienced. I was offered a delicious hot black tea with milk and sugar. I ordered the salmon with rice, and salad. It was SO DELICIOUS. Clove and bay leaf slow cooked rice. The fish lightly crisp on the outside, buttery and cooked to perfection within. Kind courteous Somalian people and culture. I look forward to sharing more, and trying other dishes. Ancient good food.

Try the chicken steak and spaghetti combo, it’s a delicious lunch or dinner option. The staff does take them a while but worth the wait because the chicken was cooked perfectly along with the sambusa & noodles. They just remodeled and food and establishment are great!

Pros:-Amount of meat in the plate-Rice was tastyCons:-The worst lamb I have ever tried. Undercooked, chewy, tough, dry, taste bad.-It seems they cooked the meat a week ago and heated it with microwave (I was hearing microwave sound).-Clean 0/5.. Table was sticky & dirty, ground was sticky.-Charged over the menu price.-Spaghetti was tasteless & dry.-Many menu items were not available (e.g. chicken Kabab, Gayro, meat steak)Summary :Avoid it so that you don't get stomach problems or food poisoning

This is a great hidden gem in City Heights. What sticks out more than anything is the homey nature of the food. It tastes like an authentic ethnic meal prepared at a friends house. Make sure to slice up the banana and eat it with the rice, oddly satisfying. The customer service is great too. Very kind staff and good food. Large portions for a reasonable price. Can't go wrong with the lamb.
