Mixed feelings about our experience there. I was there with a group of 8 for a birthday brunch. The service was quite poor. Multiple food and drink orders were messed up. Items were added to our bill which we did not order. The food was solid but quantities small. Sadly this place is not worth the hype.

Wheelchair accessibility: They have a wheelchair elevator for restroom access.

Had the ITALIAN PLANT BASED omelet made with just egg, vegan sausage, cheese & veggies. Would have love to have tried the cauliflower & chorizo bennie but server said it was a small meal. Also have lemon strawberry French toast as well as lunch options. Nice covered outside seating. Updated from previous review on 2024-10-04

2 years ago we visited Fig Tree Cafe almost everyday while our stay in San Diego. Now we are returning and it’s still as good as before. Food potions are large. The coffee tastes good.

I love breakfast and this place hit the spot. Amazing selection of food and drinks, something for everyone. Great at accommodating my gluten free wife and daughter. Beautiful setting as well for either outdoor or indoor dining.

Dietary restrictions: Good bread for gluten free. Could have done better marking some other items or with menu consistency of marking but they were knowledgeable and it was easy to make a meal for the two of us with celiac.

Wife and I came back twice for the same meals and everything was fabulous both times. We were lucky to be staying within walking distance and will miss when we leave!

Had not been here in a few years and liked it so much I was back the next weekend. Depending when you go, you might have to wait for a table, but it's worth the wait. Service is good, atmosphere is good and love the covered outdoor area. It's like a little hidden gem, and has a simple little bar in the back. One of our favorite places for breakfast!

A bit disappointed. My girlfriends latte tasted like burnt milk. Her shrimp fritada was a hard egg scramble. I had the salmon benedicts and they were average. The potatoes tasted like they were frozen. Or waitress had too many tables so our service was not that great. Constantly fighting flies for our food.

Small 10 minute wait wasn't bad. Ordered the food and it came quickly. Wife got salmon Benedict and she said "It was very good and I liked it a lot." I got the pancakes with 2 eggs and bacon. Eggs and bacon and pancakes were exactly what you'd expect but not enough butter or syrup.

Fig Tree Cafe is my favorite place for a solid brunch in San Diego. The menu boasts a variety of options ranging from sweet to savory and everything in between. Go with a group of friends and order a bunch of dishes to share. Trust me, you'll want to try everything. The tree covered patio provides sufficient space to accommodate a lot of people without being on top of each other. The service has always been nice and not at all "snobby" like some trendy places can be sometimes. There was not a dish that we did not like. I will dream of this great, local spot until I return!

Waited at the hostess stand for 10 minutes while waitress filled everyone’s water (saw us standing there and didn’t acknowledge us). Took then 10 more minutes after we sat down for he to come take our order. Food was decent, my quinoa salad was drenched in dressing though. Ordered garlic fries that we didn’t get and were charged for. All in all a below average experience. I must add though that the lavender honey latte was AMAZING. (Visited on 7/18)
