Such a cute place! Beautiful treats. I tried the wipeout chocolate cake and it was so moist and rich. I didn’t care for the chocolate chips on it but that’s my preference. My bf likes the carrot cake, just wished the frosting wasn’t so sweet. Service was fast and friendly.
I have found many delicious things here but I have also received items that tasted like they had accidentally been sprayed or otherwise contaminated with heavily scented household chemicals something like fabulouso or pine sol is effecting the flavor of some ingredient they use. I have only noticed this in items that contain gluten so maybe their flour is being contaminated but it was very strong and off putting to me. Not sure who cleans their shop but someone needs to do some...
Visited Figaro in North Park after dinner with an old friend. We ordered a range of items to sample, including the Chocolate Marquise, Banana Butterscotch, Cloud 9, and a cookie & caramel gelato. They were all pretty interesting, though the Banana Butterscotch wasn’t that butterscotch-y, and the Chocolate Marquise was intensely rich. I really enjoyed the gelato massively! The staff was super friendly too.
