I visited with my family, and overall we had a great experience. The location is incredible, and the food was outstanding. The dishes were generous in size, tasted amazing, and were reasonably priced. We paid about $160 for five people, which I think is a great value.
The only downside was the hostess’s attitude. I specifically asked to be seated inside because one of the main reasons we chose this restaurant was to enjoy its atmosphere. Instead, we were seated in the back, near the restrooms, in an area with little to no ambiance. That was disappointing and took away from what could have been a perfect dining experience

When it comes to pasta, I ask myself one question, “can I have a better or equal experience at Olive Garden”. The pasta here was not the craziest in my opinion. I had to add a heft amount of all the provided seasonings as the pasta was quite bland on its own. There’s also a gnarly markup on the meat, if you choose to add it. Normally I’d be fine if the quality of the meat justified the price. However, that’s not the case in my experience. The chicken seemed like canned cubes, very bland, an unpleasant texture, and not seasoned.
The place looks fantastic, and the pizza my friend got looked and smelled very good. I most likely will never step foot here again, but I believe the pizza might be a no brainer decision.

Love the atmosphere, the price, and the speed of service
Excellent old school pizzeria
Very cosy Italian restaurant hidden behind an Italian delicatessen. Service was excellent...very large portions...reasonable prices. The pizza had abundant ingredients, however, the pizza dough was too dense for my liking.
No other Filippis has the taste or the service as the original. Although Don Filippi is no longer with us this restaurant is run as if he was there. Can't say the same for the others owned by his children. They all have different ways of doing things and of treating customers.
The pizza, the lasagna, and spaghetti was delicious! Most of all the service of our waitress, Emily was excellent! Highly recommend to eat here.
I grew up going to Filippi’s, but at the Chula Vista location. The CV location, from what I remember, does not have the market. This review is solely based on the SPUMONI BOMB that I discovered last night in the refrigerator section of the market. I knew they had spumoni ice cream in the tub, but omgggg this spumoni bomb is on a different level. It’s a ginormous ball of spumoni ice cream dipped in chocolate. The ice cream is perfect texture and a yummy after dinner treat to satisfy your sweet tooth. Spumoni is hard to come by these days, so I’m excited to find this specialty treat! Also, the cookies behind the counter- good lordt!!! Sooooo good! Who would’ve thought Filippi’s had these hidden gems?!

Delicious...homemade taste!!!
Pizza is rediculously good
Pretty good Italian food, with large portions! Great price and wonderful staff! Good place to take your family and friends :)
Feels like frozen pizza from the shop, the dough has terrible texture, nothing like Italian pizza.

I don’t understand why this place has good reviews. The have the WORST and RUDEST service, they treat costumers like crap. A lady I don’t know if she’s the owner or co-owner who knows, treated my family and I like crap. I said to myself, this stuff happens, let’s give it a second chance, went back and even worse serves and the food was literally mid.
