Amalfi Cucina Italiana - Carmel Valley

This place used to be so good. Tonight I ordered the Chicken Parmesan. It was very sub par. All of the vegetables had a weird taste. Certainly, didn’t seem like olive oil.
I watched the waiter wipe a table for the next guest. He swept off the crumbs no real wiping or sanitary cleaning. 😳😳😳For that reason, I can’t ever go back. The atmosphere was meh.

I didn’t like their pappardelle mushroom pasta much, it was a little bland, however their pizza is wonderful! I also liked their lychee mocktail. Wonderful and helpful service!

This is a long overdue review as we’ve been coming here regularly for years. Amalfi Cucina Carmel Valley is our favorite Italian restaurant in San Diego. The food is authentic and delicious. And if you’re craving a real Neapolitan style pizza, this is definitely the place. The Service is top notch. Giuseppe and Vincenzo take care of you and make you feel at home. And Mateo is an incredible host, who keeps the restaurant running smooth while also taking time out to make us feel like part of the Amalfi family.

Dependably excellent service, delicious Italian specialties, and a magnificent oven that produces Napolitano-style pizza. Amalfi is one of our favorite restaurants in the area.

We experienced a Joseph Phelps wine dinner. The food was delicious and very well paired to the wine selection. The service was exceptional and the atmosphere was lively and fun. They couldn't do enough to make sure that everyone had a great time. We will definitely return.

Overall we had great time celebrating our friends milestone birthday here ! Happy hour cocktails were really good 🤩 and our server Vincenzo was amazing! Cheers to him 🍹 nice vibe, great ambience, good food and best cocktails.

If I could give Amalfi Cucina Italiana in Carmel Valley ten stars, I absolutely would! From the moment we stepped in, it was clear that this place is a wonderful. The food is nothing short of extraordinary. Each dish bursting with authentic Italian flavors that truly transport your taste buds to Italy. Every bite was a delight; you can tell they use fresh ingredients and put love into every plate.
Our waiter Giuseppe was simply fantastic, so friendly, funny, and attentive, he made our dining experience even more enjoyable. His warmth and humor made us feel very comfortable.
A huge shoutout to the wonderful manager Matteo, who went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience. He was truly attentive, helpful, and genuinely caring.

Our second time here in two weeks. Overall a nice and relaxing evening. Our food has been excellent both times, and the team made us feel special while we were there to celebrate an our daughters special accomplishment. We will be back.
