As a local, Freddy’s Chophouse has become one of my go-to places, usually for drinks, that are always delicious! The bar & ambiance are a vibe and the bartenders are super friendly.
This time, I decided to stay for dinner and ordered the skirt steak with fries—and wow, it was amazing. The steak was cooked to perfection, bursting with flavor, and super juicy. I highly recommend for anyone looking for great food, excellent drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere.

Drink was alright, food was better than I expected, as for happy hr, but service was really... went to the restroom, when I came back my food was gone already, which was finished half only
What a great find in the Gaslamp District. Fair pricing for an outstanding dinner and the service was top. We did the filet kabobs, bake potato and a summer salad, wedge salad. All were as good as Ruth's Chris. Will be back for sure when in San Diego again.

I came here for my cousins birthday and we had an amazing experience with gabby so i decided to have my husbands birthday dinner here and not one but multiple food items arrived wrong, nobody was eating together because the food would come one couple at a time, while other couples were finishing their food, on top of some food never being brought out, also the server went directly to my husband and asked him if he wanted him to bring out a cheesecake and candle for him after we were already boxed up ( i was upset because it should've been a surprise ). I wish we had an experience as good as the first time we went, but it just disappointed.

I had the best skirt steak ever. It was very flavorful and must have been marinated and tenderized so that it wasn't tough. Liked the atmosphere apart from the large screen TVs - they should turn them off in the evening, otherwise they ruin the vibe. Wife loved her mahi mahi. Excellent value considering high quality of food. Drinks were also good.

Super tasty happy hour! Got the swifty and the old fashioned with coconut shrimp and everything was delicious! Highly recommend the swifty (lavender lemon drop) if you want a sweet yummy drink that really doesn’t taste like alcohol — so good!
Great location, outside seating was excellent. Drinks were excellent, appetizers as well. Server was superb, quick and thorough. Wished we had more time in town to visit again.

I would go out of my way to eat at Freddy’s! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a smile, the decore is great and it’s fun!
We had a couple drinks, ribs and a sirloin! Everything was prepared well with plenty of food. Oh, and you don’t pay downtown prices. Everything is reasonably priced!
