Great! Rich taste! My wife loved it.
Great staff. I showed up shortly before closing and was welcomed in with a friendly smile. The cashier was very friendly, offered me a few suggestion aided me in finding a beverage. Wasn’t trying to rush me at all. Thank you for the good service. Will be back soon?
Ordered delivery, our drinks were watered down & one of them was missing pearls in it, even tho we were charged for it.
The boba was very good. The strawberry milk tea tasted very good but it was also maybe too sweet, but that was fine. The pearls very soft
If you're someone who usually gets 30% sweetness, I suggest getting 0% here because they make their teas sweeter than usual places. Getting 30% sweetness feels like getting 50%. Also, the service is only, okay..
My favourite place to go! Super delicious boba and so many flavours
I would not be recommending you to go to this place because the drinks are watered down and not even that good. The tea wasn’t even that good. The owner wasn’t nice to me.
Hands down the worst Gong Cha I've been too and it's sad since I used to go out of my way for this chain when I lived overseas. Their drinks were average at best but not worth seeking out anymore. I stopped going since customer service isn't really friendly and after one girl made a green tea and a smoothie that we usually get really bad for me and a friend that we just ended up throwing it away. But I use this stop-food-waste app called "Too Good To Go" where restaurants will sell food at a discounted price thats originally gonna go in the trash and put them in a "surprise bag" and pick up is listed at a specific time (typically close to closing time). Gong Cha was listed to make a reservation for a "surprise bag" and I reserved for a bag at 1630 but pick up was listed at 2300-2315. They close at 2300 and I got there a little before 2300. They were closed early and ignored me when I knocked. I drove out there on a weekday late at night to be surprised with disappointment again from them.To owner: order ID GBAM
Their tea is good but the customer service can be a bit off. Last time I visited, the guy working at the register remained on his phone not even glancing up when I entered or after I greeted him. He only got off to take my order then returned to texting. I get having a bad day and I also understand dealing with customers since I’ve worked in retail but to not greet or acknowledge customers at all after they have made an effort to be polite is a little off putting.
I honestly only come here because it’s open late at night. The workers never and i mean NEVER say hi or smile. It’s probably because it’s late, but they are either tired or just seem tired. I know a stoner when I see one, and im willing to bet the workers here are stoners and are under the influence on the job. I just left right now and one of the workers messed up my drink and I told them I had asked for no boba and the sticker literally said “no pearls.” He looked at me like if it was my fault and raised his hand all confused. Like bruh, do you know how to read?

Low key good boba spot. Not much around the place, a Mexican food shop and hiddenfish next to it. When I was in Japan, there was a hella long line at Gong Cha. To find one in San Diego, I had to see.It has a good simple decor and I like it cause it's not as hectic or photo driven boba spots around the area. Brown sugar boba was on point. I guess it all depends on your type of tea boba your preference is.It's my top spot for boba. Their milk tea alone is better than other spots around. Plus you cam get a free sticker if ya want with purchase.
Great milk tea and a lot of fruit tea options.
I went through a milk tea moment during the lockdown of 2020 as an alternative to hard drinking.Yes, I quit alcohol during the eye of the pandemic by substituting my habitual tumblers of neat whiskies with vacuum-sealed plastic containers filled with pastel-colored caffeinated liquids that artificially evoked the flavor and freshness of fruits. Floating within these bizarre containers were the prized boba - chewy pearls of tea-infused tapioca. My first experience with milk teas was ordering delivery from Gong Cha, a tea shop that many of my friends lauded as the best spot in San Diego for boba-infused beverages. One friend swore by their Earl Grey Tea with herbal jelly, 100% ice, and 50% sugar. Another recommended the Panda Milk Tea with 30% sugar and 100% ice.I ill-advisedly ignored everyone and ordered the Panda Milk Tea with coconut jelly, 0% ice, and 100% sugar. (100% ice was a non-starter for me for the same reason why I would not ask to add tap water.) I also ordered a "Crème Brûlée Waffle" to hit the $10 minimum delivery requirement. After just a few sips of the Panda Milk Tea, my body shook as I felt compelled to randomly shout at my ceiling fan. I imprudently continued nonetheless, each slurp of Panda Milk Tea feeling similar to drinking a lollipop. Upon completion, I ran downstairs and gave my daughter a piggy back ride until she begged me to stop, then I washed dishes by hand, and then I ultimately found myself on a 6 mile run. All things one does when his heart can't stop beating at 140bpm.Eventually, I tried the Crème Brûlée Waffle. Despite being speckled with boba and drenched in mochi custard and sweet cream, it didn't taste sweet -- nothing at that point could, even two hours removed from the Panda Milk Tea fiasco. Over time, I would also try Gong Cha's Earl Grey Tea with 30% sugar, which I would suggest is a "coke high" as compared to the Panda Milk Tea "crack high." These drinks are incredibly potent, even at reduced sugar levels.tl;dr Gong Cha is good if you exercise more restraint than Jay K. did.
Even with “no sugar option” the lemon aiyu is basically lemon syrup with pearls. Staff made no attempt to clarify this at the order. Very different from their branches in Hong Kong where it’s not all sugar drinks.
My friend took me here after dinner and ordered me the London Fog cloud. It was my first time trying Boba Tea and I instantly fell in love!!! I’m totally coming back!
