Absolutely incredible food, ambiance and service! We came for the Easter Brunch and they offer ordering of one main entree which all were incredible as well as going up for the buffet with delectable options such as crab, shrimp, charcuterie boards and a pancake/waffle station that was so good. Highly recommended! Definitely get reservations for Easter brunch if you get a chance! They also had live music which was lovely ?

We ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and it was delicious. Probably the best I've had. The atmosphere is lively. We especially like Grant's close proximity to the Civic Theater.

My girlfriend and I had an amazing experience from check in to check out. We ordered a bottle of a beautiful red blend from prisoner. Our server, Sarah was outstanding. We had some time so we ordered an appetizer which was spectacular. It was the Char grilled octopus. Our main courses were Chilean sea bass and scallops. The flavors were exceptional. It stimulated every taste bud that we had available. Presentation was a work of art. There was even a bit of crunch to the dishes that we chose. The service was outstanding and I attribute that to our server, sarah. We will 100% be back to enjoy another night of five star food. The Ambiance was beautiful and it was quiet enough despite multiple people so we could carry on a normal conversation. The Grant hotel itself is fantastic and take some time to review their amazing history.

Amazing food, service, and atmosphere. Live Jazz band was playing, and the space the restaurant in is gorgeous. If you want old-school luxury, this is the place to go.

The Grant Grill at the US Grant Hotel is elegant without being fussy. The food and service are top notch. The prices are very high, and what you might expect at a fine dining restaurant of this caliber, but that makes it accessible only for special occasions and/or business expense accounts. Diners get an amuse bouche and focaccia (free!), and no surcharges or automatic 20% tip are added to the bill which is refreshing. Highly recommend this gem of a restaurant in San Diego.

Another outstanding experience at The Grant Grill. The service, food and ambience were first rate. We had the chicken sausage, challah french toast, scrambled eggs, and waffles. Everything was prepared to perfection. The hostess was lovely. The wait staff, including Enrique were attentive and gracious. Thank you to everyone who make the Grant Grill a fabulous place to dine.

Beautiful restaurant in an historic and gorgeous hotel. Our server, Samuel was obviously a seasoned and well informed man. He made our dinner experience wonderful. I had a lamb chop special of the evening and it was absolutely delicious. My daughter had the sea bass which was a little fishy but hey, it's fish and perhaps served with a lemon wedge would have minimized that but it was done to perfection. I highly recommend the The Grill at the US Grant especially if you're going to the Civic Center across the street like we were last night.

We had breakfast 2× and dinner once. The waiters were absolutely amazing. I haven't had service like this ever to be quite honest. Food was delicious. I recommend French toast & striped bass.

Always a pleasure to be here. Love the Grant Grill and lounge! One little problem: my niece asked the waiter for a glass of wine, he brought the wine menu, but never came back to get her order.

We were very excited to try Grant Grill. Service was appalling. We had to wait 20 minutes for someone to take our drink order. They did not bring the bread and butter as promised. We waited another 25 minutes for our dessert (cheesecake, not a hot dessert) to arrive. And we had to chase down the check twice. For $175 for 2, this type of awful service is a big no.

I can't say enough on what a great experience we had dining at the Grant Grill last night (Thursday) before our show (CHICAGO). Bravo goes out to our server, Samuel R. and his team for working incredibly hard to provide a terrific visit to your establishment!

Volvere.

We went for their Valentine's day menu. Our waitress Sarah was amazing and very attentive. Unfortunately the kitchen let her down by taking too long from course to course. Our main entrees were too cold to eat and i simply asked them to box them up so i could at least enjoy them reheated at home. It took 2 agonizing hours to finally get to our dessert so we could leave. The ambience and noise level were good enough to have a quiet conversation. We will not be back here again.
