Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream Hillcrest

Loved the ice cream from Handel’s at the Hillcrest location! We ordered the chocolate pecan, salted caramel truffle, and chocolate chunk flavors and really liked them all. Very friendly and quick service. Nearby benches if you want to eat while you’re there. Recommend!

The icecream portions are huge. They do not let you taste them before ordering, which dissapointed us.

Very good ice cream store

Yum! Service was fast, ice cream was AMAZING!

Can’t recommend this location. Long lines and don’t give samples. I asked for a sundae and because I didn’t specify “what topping” I received 3 scoops of ice cream and a single cherry. They refused to fix it for me as “that’s what I ordered”

Highly recommend! I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed my experience here. I’m normally very picky with my ice cream but there was not a single flavor that disappointed. The manager, Aspen, and her coworker Frida did an amazing job explaining each of the flavors and giving recommendations. The line went by extremely fast and is located in such a fun area!

We place orders at this location (University Ave) all the time. Placed an online order this particular (which is coordinated through door dash), order said ready, arrived only to be told the system was down and they were out of stock. Asked for a refund and was told that had to be completed through door dash. When I logged into door dash and my order the number to call for any problems was Handels (same location I just left). Called, left messages and no answer or returned calls. Wasted my time, was not helpful, and was still charged for product I did not receive.

Handel’s is hands down the best ice cream shop I’ve ever been to! The flavors are unbelievably fresh, rich, and creamy—you can tell they put real care into every batch. They have so many unique choices that it’s almost impossible to pick just one, but no matter what you order, it’s always delicious.
On top of the amazing ice cream, the employees made the experience even better. They were friendly, patient, and genuinely happy to help, even when the line was long. They took the time to explain different flavors, gave great recommendations, and served everything with a smile. You can tell they really enjoy what they do, and it makes the whole atmosphere so welcoming.
If you’re looking for the perfect spot to treat yourself, Handel’s is it. Between the incredible ice cream and the outstanding customer service, this place deserves more than 5 stars!

The service at this location is always quick, efficient, and friendly. It is my favorite Handel's to go to because of the wonderful people!
