We booked the new year day brunch after seeing it being advertised on their website. It was really bad and not worth the price of almost $50 / person. There were less than 8 items on the entire buffet selection. I would call this a continental breakfast and not brunch buffet. Our host had to clean the table for us before being sat down, there was no food left and this was around 9:30am, there were no plates left. Everyone had to stand and wait. It was ridiculous
We did course New Years Pre-Fix Menu. Says on website it came with Sparkling Wine Glass Package: $95 per person. Never got the wine at new years countdown. So very disappointed. Services was extremely slow. We did same dinner last year. It was much better last year. Don't think will go again because of bad service.
We returned to this restaurant after more than six months hoping our previous experience had been an anomaly. Unfortunately, it was not.
This was our fifth visit overall, and for the second time we experienced the same issues: no greeting, no water, no check-ins, and inattentive service throughout the meal while surrounding tables were clearly attended to. We had to get up ourselves for basic items like hot sauce and water refills. The difference in service was obvious, especially as buffet diners.
What made this experience worse was the follow-up from management. Lorraine’s response was polite but entirely generic — stating that “service experiences can vary” and offering no acknowledgment of a repeated issue, no apology that addressed the pattern, and no indication that anything would be done differently. After documenting the same problems months apart, that response felt dismissive and lacking accountability.
We’ve had good experiences here in the past, which is why we gave it another chance. Unfortunately, between the repeated service failures and the poor management follow-up, we won’t be returning.
Posting this so future guests can make an informed decision and in the hope that leadership takes guest feedback — and follow-through — more seriously.

I was here for a conference. The breakfast was good both times I went. I went. for dinner on my last night annd ordered a ribeye. It came out cold and tough. The potatoes were hot. To me, it appears that the cook didn’t do his/her job correctly JOHAN the waiter was gracious, kind, attentive, and definitely service oriented. He was very apologetic and did everything he could to try to make things right. Can’t blame the waiter when you get a tough cold Steak.

I had the absolute best experience with Fabrice today at the bar. I wasnt sure what I wanted but he somehow knew exactly what I needed. Hes one of those bartenders that goes above and beyond to make you are satisfied in every degree. His beautiful will stay imprinted in my memory, tonight, tomorrow, hopefully forever. Thankyou Fabrice.

Ate at Rumorosa inside the Sheraton. I tried the posole, shrimp ceviche, Baja ceviche, the 14 oz ribeye, and the tres leches. Service was solid and friendly. The food itself was okay, nothing bad, just not super memorable. Decent spot for a convenient hotel meal.

We have been here for a conference for the last week and enjoying every minute of it. We have had a huge amount of people who have congregated to this restaurant/bar every evening because the service and the quality of food and drinks are so amazing. The BIGGEST shoutouts to Fabrice, Rudy and Pablo in the bar. They have such amazing energy and are so efficient being behind the bar, making drinks and taking orders and took care of everyone who was in our party every evening they were working. 10/10 would recommend!

I sat at the resteraunt, a la carte. I didn't realize there was a buffet.
The service was great. Quick, polite, helpful.
I ordered the Rumorosa omellete. The Mexican papas were cold. Spiced well, but not crispy. The braised beef was on top of the omellete and was dry and hard to eat. The sourdough today was 1 slice, cold, and chewy. The omellete itself was nice. Overall, a big letdown on the overall meal.
I did enjoy the coffee, but it was $5.50! The omellete meal was $22. 1/4 of the bill was for the coffee. Ouch.

The food was not very flavorful or interesting. I had a chicken breast on a bit of rice with a glass of wine and some guacamole and with Tippitt was over $100! The lighting was very bright. I felt like I was eating in a food court in a busy mall. No one ever asked me how my food was. If they would, if I would've told them, it wasn't very memorable. The chicken breast was served me nice and hot which I liked, and the skin was crunchy. Everything else was quite forgettable.

Possibly the most perfect breakfast I have had cooked for me in a restaurant. Everything was as requested. Victor is a keeper! Attentive, kind, humorous. Beautiful setting. All in all a lovely experience.

Service was slow. We were sitting for 30 minutes before anyone even came to greet us. I could’ve had 2 cocktails in that time. The place had a good amount of guests but not every table was full. We went for Restaurant Week but the regular menu didn’t have many more options. We were a party of 6 and we were able to taste a bunch of different items. Overall the food was ok. Everyone agreed the veggie option was terrible. The steak was great! They give you 2 free hours of parking with restaurant receipt. They do charge a tiny resort fee because it is in a hotel.

This has been by far the best tasting three course meal my cousin and I have tried at restaurant week. We went because we don't see anything interesting to go to and I was curious to see where this restaurant was and to my surprise it was at a hotel not typical for restaurant week so I thought this may not be so good but this surprised us and I plan on taking my husband next. Who knows we may make it into a staycation.
My partner and I went here during San Diego Restaurant Week. Our waiter EddieRay was absolutely incredible and made our night feel really special. I am vegetarian and enjoyed the cauliflower ceviche and mushroom birria tacos and my partner got the seabass. Overall an excellent start to SDRW, and major thanks to EddieRay. He really is excellent and deserves a raise.
