This is one of the places that follows the principle of doing one thing and doing that really really well. You get a burger and fries. That's it. And it's fantastic. The best combo I can remember. Loved the low key energy and friendly staff. Couldn't recommend more
Checked out this place with one of my coworkers during our lunch break. Definitely has the Barrio Logan feel when you see the exterior and inside it has a lot of 90's nicknacks which build it's unique character. For food I ordered a Cheeseburger (lettuce, tomato, grilled onion, house 1000 island) and Jimi Fries (American Cheese, House 1000 Island and grilled onion). The things I enjoyed the most was the Grilled Onion's. Overall this goes toe to toe with In-N-Out...
Such a simple good old fashioned hamburger or cheeseburger. Its the way a burger should really taste. None of this signature stuff at all these fancy restaurants where you taste everything but the meat. At Hayes burger you actually taste the ground beef cooked to perfection. Hats off to Hayes burgers.
