Herb & Wood is a restaurant known for its excellent food and terrific service. The menu offers a variety of dishes, from fillet mignon and branzino to swordfish and bone marrow, which comes with fresh oysters. The Hamachi appetizer is a favorite, and the beef cheek and swordfish steak are highly recommended. The pasta and vegetables are also excellent. However, the pizza has a thick dough layer and may not be as impressive. The desserts are exceptional. The restaurant has a unique decor, with hard surfaces that create a lively ambiance. It can be a bit noisy, but that seems to add to the experience for some. Reservations are recommended, as it can get quite busy, even on weeknights. If you enjoy gin, the Old Harbor Distilling Co. gin and tonic is a must-try. Be aware that chili is a common ingredient in many dishes due to its Spanish and Mexican influences.
