I got a club sandwich and it wasn't great, the bread was on the dry side and for some reason (I assume the bacon?) the whole container smelled like cigarettes.

Best soups, salads, and sandwiches in Hillcrest. Great quality, big portions, and especially very affordable. This is a must for lunch!!! The employees are very friendly! Try the cabrillo sandwich or the cashew chicken salad

Sandwiches were alright. Just not much flavor in our opinion and felt like the bread wasn't really fresh, which makes or a break a sandwich. Had the kitchen sink & the cabrillo for reference.

Our family has been coming in for almost a decade. I always get the brown derby and my wife the cabrillo. It's a family owned place that is always welcoming. The owners are involved and we are always greeted with a smile.

Absolutely wonderful, delicious sandwiches and soup . Great service . Sandwiches had plenty of meat and condiments soup tasted perfect. Portions were great ,left in a food coma didn't think that could happen with a sandwich. Plenty outdoor seating great weather. Parking a little scarce definitely would return. 5 stars quality

Adorable small business located in a Hillcrest. Service was fast and very kind! I order the chicken salad sandwich and the Neptune sandwich and both were incredible. The bread was to die for!!! Perfect for a quick lunch or a good snack!
