Excellent meal, service and ambience. Calamari delicious, Linguine & Meatballs were delicious Other guest had veal with lemon & wine sauce and enjoyed it very much. Would recommend this restaurant it is a hidden gem.
Great place to celebrate a birthday! It was a little cold inside as the door was open so bring a sweater.
Such a good restaurant to celebrate at, service was great, food was amazing, I celebrated my birthday here and our server was very attentive and helped with our cake and whatever we needed. Will definitely be coming back to eat here.
Great food and service!! Love it!!!! We visited when it first opened, and the owner was so nice. He's done a great job of growing his business!!! We live close, and it's our favorite place to go now!!!
This has been the best place in San Diego!
The food and service is amazing but I was there last week. They are now charging a service fee of 3% on the subtotal of the bill.
Just increase your price because the food is worth every penny more than a service charge.

Food looks beautiful and is delicious too! Best Orecchiette pasta and spumoni dessert I've ever had! Hostess/waitress went above and beyond for our 8 teens who were there for their homecoming dinner. Highly recommend!
Great menú, caters to everyone.

Restaurantji Recommends
Our dinner was delicious and the service was top notch! We were celebrating my birthday and the pana cota I received for free was delicious!!
Top tier, please give this locale a chance.
Highly recommend pollo parmegiana , asked for a side of meatballs. Complimented by Chianti Reserva + house Pinot noir, mid but would not reject

Had a great time at Il Posto during Restaurant Week. Good food, great chill vibes, and friendly service.
Why the low rating you may ask?
It's simple. You sign your bill with a HANDWRITTEN tip, only to be charged 18% top without your approval/consent. Shady, very shady.
Now, I'm not going to refute it because it's basically under a $5 difference. However, will I be returning or recommending this spot? Never. Go to another Italian spot and don't get ripped off. I suggest Roman Wolves.

Really lovely outdoor aesthetic, and it's great that they allow dogs on the patio. Our puppy got to do dog date and also socialize with other dogs. It was hard to get a reservation for the outdoor space as nothing was available online but we called in and got something set up so that was nice.
We came here for San Diego Restaurant Week and it was actually a very good deal for just $35 for a 3 course meal!
Insalata Di Cesare - 8/10
I was actually expecting a proper big salad here, but this was essentially just three leaves of lettuce with shaved, croutons and parmesan. Portion size was very very small here so a little bit disappointed at that.
Mortazza Pizza - 10/10
(Pistachio Cream, burrata cheese, mortadella, basil, EVO oil and black pepper)
First time having a pizza with this flavor combination and was actually really nice! Added some chili flakes on top and this was perfect! I actually didn't even have dessert because I loved the pizza so much that I wanted it to be my last taste!
Really big pizza here as as you would expect on a dinner menu and I really like that.
Tiramisu - 8.5/10
Very light and airy here. A large amount of cream compared to th biscuit. I wasn't as much of a fan but Husband loved it.
Pollo Al Marsala - 8/10
(Organic chicken breast sautéed with mushrooms, in a marsala creamy sauce served with potatoes and vegetables)
Ordered this outside the restaurant week menu to get some extra protein in. We'd asked for less oil on this, but there was still a good amount of oil on the veggies with was sad. I used my napkin to press out as much oil as I could.
Chicken was cooked well and good quantity so that was nice.
Marsala sauce wasn't as good as the sauce we'd had at a different restaurant just last week so knocked off some points for that.

We had a reservation and were seated a few minutes prior to the actual reservation time. The waitress was friendly and helpful. However our appetizer took an hour to arrive. The main dishes came out after a few bites into the appetizers. My husband’s chicken parmigiana was good. The wagyu meatballs were delicious, my pasta was undercooked(not even quite al dente)and the artichokes were covered in a sauce I didn’t care for. The tiramisu was light and delicious. I might go back and try a pizza, but overall I’d say not as impressed as I wanted to be.
