I love this place. I have dreams about their fried snapper. The staff is always friendly. I normally get the same cashier each time, and he's consistently buzzed, so how could he be in anything other than a good mood? I love that they sell the old bay hot sauce. Being from Maryland, Old Bay is used almost as much as pepper in my house. The hot sauce hits, but it's been tough finding it, or Old Bay, in California. Love this hole in the wall fish place. They have a fresh fish case so you can take home and DIY in the kitchen, or they’ll fry it up for you on the spot. I like to get the catfish and have it cooked with the ‘spicy’ coating which isn’t hot so much as it is flavorful- in a Cajun way. The place is very clean and the folks who work there are super friendly, but the reason it’s special to me is that they make fried okra with a cornmeal coating. This is a San Diego staple. There is no where else where you can pick out fresh fish and get it seasoned to perfection and fried all in one place. It is always clean, and the customer service is always with a smile. I have never eaten inside or seen anyone eating sitting down, but there are tables and chairs. They also have some hard to find seasonings, hot sauce, and mixes for sale on the wall.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible.
