James Coffee in Bankers Hill, San Diego, serves up an incredibly delicious oat milk latte! The outdoor seating was delightful in the sunshine, perfect for a relaxing break. The service was okay, not super friendly, but overall a great spot for coffee lovers!

I like james coffee, it has delicious croissants and a decent selection of coffee.
But you don't want to sit inside most of the time, the style in which you make places is cool, but it's dirty, dusty, lots of milk cartons, one barista doesn't have time to clean everything. The tables are covered in dust and food. Make people return the containers somewhere away from the display. A person who wants to buy coffee sees a pile of junk and dust. And the pastries are somewhere at waist level.
1)Add backlighting on the coffee beans, you should always have the shelves filled with beans.
2)You should have a covered counter where the coffee is made so people don't see tons of dirty dishes.
3) Desserts should be at eye level and the prices should be...
Organize everything , clean up and then I'm sure you will raise the total check. Good luck and thank you.

We visited another coffee shop in the
of the James chain. Today I had a matcha latte here.
As for the atmosphere of the place. There is no atmosphere inside the place as such, because it's a rather small place and there is no place to sit inside, at least I didn't see it🙂
They sell a lot of nice branded things as well as coffee beans.
The service is nice. The girl was friendly and very busy because there was a line of customers.
There are places to sit outside, but it wasn't very clean. The benches are dirty and not all the tables were clean.
As for the matcha, it was not very tasty. First of all, it was too hot. Secondly, it was a little bitter, probably because they added too much matcha powder.

Did not have a great experience here. They only had oatmilk and only outdoor seating.
Super disappointing… the little Italy location is so chill and everyone is super nice. Not the same here… walked in and there was a conversation happening between barista and customer who had already received their coffee in front of me… barista never even acknowledged my existence or asked if I needed help and continued her conversation so I just walked out after 3 min of staring at the wall.
It says closing time on Saturday 17:00, but it was already closed when I got there at 16:00
Usually I can overlook bad service if the product is good.
We like to try a new coffee shop every weekend, but James Coffee Co has the unfortunate distinction of being at the bottom of our list of all the local places we've tried this year.
No welcome when we walked in, just blank stares by all three employees. I don't think we are strange looking people so I'm not sure what the deal was. ...Alrighty then.
None of them were enthused to be there and we apparently inconvenienced them in the middle of their work drama conversation. Ok no big deal. Hopefully the coffee is good right?
Wrong. We asked for a simple latte and cortado. And while pretty on the presentation, both were horrifically acidic and left a remarkably unpleasant aftertaste in our mouths. We added sugar to the drinks but that did not help at all. Ended up not finishing either drinks.
We would've forgiven them if the coffee was somewhat affordable. But goodness, over $6 for a latte? Now, I strongly oppose Starbucks, but it pains me to say that Starbucks would've been a better choice than this place. At least we would've been around employees with halfway decent energy and (shudders) better coffee.
Awesome coffee & great baristas. Cortado is the way to go

Went on a Tuesday and it looked closed even though Google and yelp states it’s open. No sign at the door why it’s closed.
Excellent Mocha prepared by friendly staff.

Great neighborhood spot with quality coffee. It can take a bit to get a drink sometimes so come with time to relax and enjoy sitting outside.

We were in San Diego for a week and we stopped by daily for cappuccino. Some of the best!
