The food taste good, but something the public need to know. Kabul West's main business is generated from weekends catering, most often they serve their two restaurants' customers leftovers from weekends catering. I and most of the community are aware of this misconduct. I personally know Jalil the owner and approached him several times but his conduct didn't chang yet. As responsible member of the community l decided it's time for people to know the truth.

Did a takeout on a whim and I was very happy with the food . The portions are huge and they can be easily shared among two or three people (see pictures)!! and of course the food was delicious. Had the qabili pulao (Afghani fried basmati rice with sweet julienned carrots and raisins and spices) that comes with a large lamb shank that falls off the bone. The mantu(beef dumplings) was amazing as well. Highly recommend this place.

Great Mediterranean food. Best time for this place is 11 to 12. Lots of windows and great seating.

Good food plain and simple.
I definitely LOVE this place. I feel it’s really authentic. The staff here is so friendly, she explained really detailed to us about what the food taste like. We ordered a lamb shank with rice, it’s #26, it is absolutely amazing. The meat is off the bone, tender and juicy. The rice with carrots and raisins are so delicious. We also had a #23 potato & chive mix pancake, I also loved it very much, the portion is pretty big. I recommend this place for sure. And I’ll come back to try other things.
We ordered a wide selection for a recent family meal and everything was outstanding. I recommend the chicken koobideh plate with a side of garlic sauce but I doubt you can go wrong with anything on the menu
I am a long time customer. Just knew they moved to this new place. Their fish kabob is my favorite.
I hope management in charge can read this, since its inauguration few months ago, the quality of food and service has drastically gone down. As an afghan , the taste of the food is no longer like the “Kabul West “ I know, this just another restaurant now tailored towards toward non afghan ( Kabul) customers and more towards western taste (West) . Turth had to be told. Thanks
Wonderful people running this place! We had the lamb and rice and the other dish was dumplings....like I never had dumplings before! Seriously - amazing food.
So ignore any bad reviews...just haters.

food is awesome! so good and Afghan dishes I'd never heard of. Note that it's an informal eatery. But it is excellent.
Authentic Afghan food. The reviews that complaint about the meanness of the owner is more like an Afgan thing than the food thing LOL. A great place to familiarize yourself with the food and the culture ???. Take it easy, eat the food and enjoy life.
Well worth the stop
Best food and service! Place is immaculate, located right off the exit, parking is good, a must try kabob place.
I wasn’t going to comment but I’m seeing this as a common issue nowadays for Kabul West. They charge you per person for the food but catering takes all the food away before it’s even finished. For our wedding, they took the food away very shortly after serving and some of the people didn’t even get a chance to eat. As a common decency if one pays for the food, you should leave the left overs for them instead of taking it away. When I tried to call and inform them, I got cursed out. Unfortunately, they only take cash most likely for tax purposes or else I would have disputed the charge. May God guide them towards the right path.
