This place a hidden gem for Asian sweets. I always see their sweet at Asian markets around San Diego since they delivery to the stores bright and early. They have ranges or bread (Patango and sesame round sweet bread) banh Bao (steamed pork buns) and a variety of Banh Bo (Vietnamese "cow" cake) I know how why it's names after a cow but it's actually a sweet pandan extract and coconut milk cake. Very delicious! Well since I usually buy these items when I visit the Asian market I decided to go directly to the source ( address found on dessert label) It definitely a hard to miss place since it's on a busy road on University Ave. ( I passed by a couple of times since there is no parking) It lacks parking so I had to park about a block away. The place is a hole in the wall kind of bakery but the employees are sweet elderly Asian women. It's CASH ONLY.

I love these mom and pop shop. Always on point. Owners are very nice. We come here to pick up a handful of bahn boa at least once a week. This placed looks like they're always close but they are open, sometimes they are in the back baking so ring the door bell. Come early (they sell out fast) and bring cash! They are reasonably priced so you don't need a ton of cash but if you wanna try all the goodies this place has to offer bring your money.

I use to wash my clothes at the laundry mat next door...this place has really good banh bao and all the asian banh you can imagine. The owner does not speak to much english but pointing always works :D the store is tiny but everything is made fresh daily :d
