We had Kona Kakes for our wedding and the quality and flavor was amaaaazing. All our guests raved about it. We got POG, ube, and mango pineapple in sheetcakes and small round cake for cutting. The design was exactly like our inspo pic. The cake was so moist and full of flavor. No issues with delivery and timing!

We've been ordering from Kona Kakes for years, and every time, their cakes are consistently amazing and worth every penny! Fresh, moist, light, and fluffy, and a beautiful presentation! We get tons of compliments from guests whenever they try it. Our favorite is the Pineapple Macadamia Nut cake. Absolutely delicious! We were absolutely blown away by how beautiful and delicious our guava strawberry 1/4 sheet cake turned out for our baby shower! I popped in to order with Bebe and she was spot on with her recommendation for the flavor and size for a 34 person event. I trusted them to decorate and they did an incredible job. Everyone is raving about it!

I am so disappointed. I spent 15 bucks for dry cakes with butter cream. I am glad I didn't buy the 80.00 cake like I had plan to do for my birthday. I was smart and bought one macadamia and one chocolate one. Both where dry as hell!! I should have gone to the cheesecake factory or bought a frozen Sarah Lee cake. Save your money and try a different cake shop. I am pissed. I drove from Mira Mesa...for dry cake! I even ask the guy if my cake would be freshly baked and he said ,YESSSSSS!! Now, that I think about it...I think the cakes were frozen and thawed out. That's 's what the texture remind me of. DONT DO IT!!! WASTE OF GAS AND MONEY!

OMG!!!! This was one of the moistest cakes I’ve had from a bakery. The chocolate macadamia nut cake has a great softness of cake sponge paired with a very subtle crunch of macadamia nuts in the chocolate layer icing. The cake itself holds a great amount of moisture with a subtle chocolate taste. As a person who does not like chocolate cake, I ate every last bite of my slice.

It was a bit pricey but I know the effort that went into this cake as it is evident in every bite.

I absolutely LOVE Kona Kakes! I have come here a few times after discovering them in Point Loma. My first time, they didn’t have anymore lilikoi mini cakes and the sweet woman behind the counter told me she was working on a layer cake and had no problem making me a mini if I waited a few minutes. After, we had such a great convo about the island and how not too many people order the lilikoi. This place brings me back to Hawaii and the cakes are just so good. If you’re looking for something different, please try them. The lilikoi is delicious, the guava is great, and the salted caramel macadamia is awesome too. I will keep coming back!

Kona Kakes provided our wedding cakes – and we couldn't have been happier!

I'm a long-time fan of the quality and flavors of cakes available at Kona. I'll order a cake occasionally for a party, or treat myself to a personal mini cake (ready in store!) and was thrilled to share them with friends and family!

We chose to go with the standard whip cream "icing" and minimal decoration, which turned out to be totally elegant and charming.

Scrumptious and gorgeous are two words that describe their cakes. We ordered the POG for our wedding anniversary and it was such a hit at the party. Perfect for summer with its whipped cream frosting.
