L&L Hawaiian Barbecue

Yesterday, 4/15/26, I ordered the BBQ trio. $20.00+. Spare rib,beef and chicken. Firstly, service was good, nice young man. Let's talk about quality.... 1 single Spare rib. Chicken that was over cooked, dry and tough. Beef was the same. Macaroni salad was bland, but at least added moisture to over done meat. Don't know if this particular franchise is cutting corners, but not what the flavor and quality I'm expecting after patronizing for 8+ years.

This was a bizarre incident. I came in with my two little girls to grab a katsu kids bowl and a mixed bbq because I love this place. After placing my order my youngest dropped her cup on the dirty floor so I asked the cashier for a new one. After handing it over, I gave it back to my child, however, the cashier was bothered. Mentioning that she felt rude the way I grabbed the new cup from her. She said I snatched it and she was offended. I NEVER snatched a cup, I was more upset with my child who had dropped her regular sized cup on the floor. I apologized and told her I did not mean to come off rude, and after clearly seeing her face being upset, not listening and continuing the negative feelings she had towards a misunderstanding, I went to sit at my table to wait. She continued and we went back and forth, in Spanish now. I genuinely do not know what her problem was, but my intention was never to be rude to her. I am Mexican born and respect all cultures. Obviously she was having a bad night but this behavior was beyond unnecessary. I get that right now this administration is separating white from color and I look white, but you can’t judge a book by its cover because I speak fluent Spanish and when I started using my native tongue there was no doubt of why she was in the wrong. I want to remind everyone to show peace, respect, and love to each other. What a bummer with the customer service in this location.

It may have been good but the front desk chick was rude and not helpful even the people in front were like perplexed and trying to find out and get assistance. She just kept saying no. No. Nope. You can't do that you can't get that. Instead of like I dont know helping them... get her off the front desk!!! Lol. She is rude and kills the whole hawaiian experience lol. Macaroni salad wasnt good at all. Reddit says there are others and this is just hype.

I have been eating L&L for years on Sports Arena and Hawaii. Yesterday I went in the sports arena restaurant and ordered Katsu Chicken & Shrimp with well done fries only (told the counter girl 2x) When I got my order it was with rice and Mac salad no fries. I took it back without touching it and the girl said you ordered with Mac salad. I told her no you must have misunderstood. She took it back and about 10 minutes later I got my order back with half cooked fries and the rice still in the plate with my chicken and shrimp now cold. I just needed to vent. No apologies were made. Maybe new management. What is happening?

Food was good. I ordered 2 BBQ Mix and a Seafood Combo. Food was overall good besides the Steak, it was chewy, but it was seasoned well.
