Super nice staff and clean location, but the food left a lot to be desired. The pork cabbage was flavorless. I took takeout and the fat juices leaked all over the bag.

I had such high hopes for Hawaiian food but this is not it

Hawaiian food My butt. Tried this place twice. Never again. First place in my 48 years on this planet ever mess up a basic hamburger. Last time My Chicken wasn't cooked good. I think I'll drive to National City, to find the Real L&L not this cheap rip off. What a poser restaurant. Yuck! And your customer service stinks. As if y'all are upscale. Better turn that place into a different type of restaurant just walk right in you'll see what I mean

Just visited the PIFA festival and stopped by the L&L Hawaiian Barbecue pop-up— the food was incredible!

We tried a bit of everything: the barbecue chicken (super crispy and fresh), the chicken katsu (perfectly crisp), and the pork (so juicy). The mac salad and rice on the side were also amazing! Also, still thinking of the musubi because it was that good!!! :)

Everyone working the pop-up was so friendly and helpful. It felt like stepping into someone’s kitchen, with all the love and passion coming through in the food. Such an amazing experience overall, and it was a huge success. Thanks so much guys, can’t wait to visit the restaurant in person! :)

$17 for undercooked, hard, clumpy white rice (which I had to spit some out as it was inedible), previously frozen Walmart grade beef patties, greasy eggs, .10 cent powder gravy, and mediocre Mac salad is absolutely insane. The only reason this isn’t a one star review was for the incredibly nice lady Maribel who helped me order. She was so kind and helpful. However that price for that quality of food is borderline price gouging it’s embarrassing. This would pass as a free school lunch at a public school!
