We have enjoyed dinners here for years! Always recommend to friends. This particular night was totally unacceptable. First the bar was totally deficient. Either fill in or stop bar service! The veal was paper thin and reminded me of shoe leather. The eggplant was more like a base covered in “government cheese”. I usually enjoy veges al dente, but they were so hard I had to spear them with my fork and carve them with my knife. I'm so sorry for this horrible review—every restaurant gets a “bad night”, and we hit it on THAT night.

Went back for our wedding anniversary and was treated nicely by our servers, made food suggestions and very satisfied with the flavor and quality of dishes, should have skipped the fried calamari though.

The best Italian in SD in my opinion, been going here 15+ years and still love it and always something new. My daughter LOVES their minestrone and no other restaurants come close.

We come EVERY time we visit SD The ossa bucco with mushroom risotto is the closest to what Italy serves! I eat the whole thing because it melts in your mouth delicious!!! We love the customer service too... very attentive and the service is amazing !!!

Amazing little whole in the wall! Pasta, breads and meats all super fresh and cooked to perfection!
A group of 7 went for a birthday dinner on a Friday evening. We were seated quickly and our waiter took very good care of us. The food is always very flavorful and fresh. The portions are huge and the prices are reasonable too. Highly recommended!

Small venue that enables voices to carry, but the food and service is so outstanding it becomes part of the ambience of this local's restaurant. There is outdoor seating although we've never tried it. A must in Hillcrest
