Do not hesitate to visit La Puerta, even if there is a wait! We had dinner on Friday which was excellent. After a full day of bike riding, decided to stop in for a beer and chips & salsa. Ended up having dinner again which was awesome. We sat at the bar and Carlos was extremely friendly and helpful. We tried both flights of tequila that they offered which were excellent.On Friday we had a round of cocktails, a margarita and a mezcal. We had the Mexico City salad and the chochinita...
This place has a crazy amount of hype, sadly this did not pan out, first they do not serve fountain drinks, only bottles of soda so that’s an extra $5 a drink.. just not my favorite especially after a Long Beach day. Food was good just not as amazing as i really was expecting, very fun bar environment so that makes things fun so if your looking to drink alcohol and pay for each drink then this is your place, really wanted to love this place but just was okay.
Really good tacos, super friendly bartenders. The people that were there with me were very excited to eat their meals as well. It’s been a few weeks and I still think about the tacos
