GREAT PLACE! FOOD WAS ON POINT AND HAPPY HOUR WAS WORTH IT COMPARED TO OTHER PLACES. SERVICE WAS OK BUT THEY WERE JUST OVERWHELMED... FOOD TAKES THE TROPHY... FOOD ALSO CAME OUT VERY QUICK COMPARED TO OTHER PLACES. I CAME TO VISIT MY SISTER AND SHE BROUGHT ME HERE AND I NOW HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

What a great Mexican restaurant when the waiter took a picture of us he also took a selfie of himself so we included it what a great idea. I am not kidding the food was out of this world their burritos are huge and absolutely delicious along with their tacos and guacamole and drinks

I was in town for work staying at a hotel nearby and stopped in. Great service and the atmosphere was awesome. Great mix of older and younger people, open air seating with lamps for warmth. Will definitely be back next time I’m in the area.

I've really enjoyed coming here for weekly lunches this past year. The food is excellent and the customer services is just as amazing. Every single interaction I've had with the servers/hosts/bartenders have been nothing short of exceptional. Everyone is friendly, professional, and efficient. HUGE shout out to Jeremy. His truly knows how to elevate an experience and make you feel taken care of. Love love love coming here!

I went there with some friends and sat at the bar. Asked for a burrito and a beer..had a great time.
The burrito had really nice flavor and good size, so recommend it.
The bartender was also really nice and attentive 👍
For sure it is a place I would recommend!

Update Nov 2025: what happened to this place?! The food tonight (Cesear salad with grilled shrimp) was awful. Service was good. Please do better.
Great overall experience- excellent service, delicious food & cocktails! We love having this new gem in MH.

Great place! They're rocking and rolling like a band that has it all. Salsas are flavorful and kicky and the taco/burrito fillings are hits. The agave selections are chart toppers as well.

Servers here are not great. First time my bf and I came here in Dec, we ordered three food items and the waitress tried to tell us that we didn’t order something. But we know we did, lol, what a weird way to say she just didn’t write it down or whatever. Today, we asked a server for a knife and the check. We didn’t get the knife for the whole meal and then when I asked for the check the server was like “yeah I have it” and walked away. My bf and I were like ??? Then I asked him to ask for it, and ten minutes later when she came finally back he asked her it and she immediately gave it to him. I was like, okay that’s rude. I grabbed it and she was like “oh you’re paying?” Which was pretty rude and we were already annoyed she took forever and blatantly ignored my initial request. Kinda sexiest tbh.
Anyway, id recommend just getting food to go. The service sucks.

We frequent La Puesta whenever my family comes to town to visit. It's always great food and drinks and wonderful service. Taylor was our waiter last night and he was lovely as were the rest of the staff who helped serve our table. I waited at the bar for a bit for my family to show up and the bartenders are always friendly and fun.
Our food was good. The beans were cold but other than that it was good. Service was super nice and friendly just a little slow (but it was kinda busy and we were in no rush so we didn't mind). All the drinks were tasty. We had the Tijuana Ceasar and Cantina Chopped Salad which both were fresh and had good dressing. we did several mix n max street tacos to try a lot of different options our top favorites were Cochinita, Ranchero Shrimp, and Pastor The carne asada and viva mexico season was really heavy with cumin (so it gave us the impression of using taco season on ground beef)
La puerta is always delicious. Good was quick, fresh, and tasty. Drinks were refreshing and staff was super friendly and attentive.
Loved everything about La Puerta Mission Hills, in particular our server Lucus was outstanding! Friendly, attentive and his recommendations were spot on. Can't wait to return!
Great time! Hostess Emma, seated us quickly and gave us a great table. Service was amazing. Server checked on us throughout the entire meal. Food was delicious and drinks were perfect. Definitely a can't miss spot. I do recommend making reservations as they do get really busy and there can be a wait if you don't.
