Best jerk chicken ever
Food was good. I ordered the Jerk Chicken Meal, with a beef patty and it was delicious. I'll be back.

Pictured here is the oxtail and fried chicken combination (specialty mix) and I thought I’ll eat some at the restaurant and to-go the leftovers.
There were no leftovers. The oxtail was tender, tasty and delicious — just liked I dreamt about last night, which was my impetus to visit Laylah’s today. The gravy had a hint of sweet but was mostly savory. Mixing the bites of oxtail and the dirty rice was such a heavenly combination.
The fried chicken — a breast and thigh — was perfectly seasoned. Perfect amounts of salt, pepper, with a hint of pepper spice. Fried chicken tasted like grandma's, who prepared hers in a cast iron fry pan. Fried chicken was hot and steamy when I got it, stacked onto the rice. It was delicious and most importantly there was a slight resistance pulling the flesh from the bone.
The sides of rice, cabbage and plantain were excellent accompaniment and were definitely not throwaways to the stars of the show (oxtail and chicken), but thoughtfully prepared and gave me happiness with each bite.
The service was excellent. The front of the house greeted me with a smile and was very informative and offered suggestions and options. I was checked on to ensure all was right. The back of the house person, who came out to prepare the jerk barbecue, which was located outside the front door, asked if everything was meeting my quality expectations (and they definitely were).
That's what I'm looking for when going out to eat (I know how to barbecue and make all kinds of foods): service that makes me feel I an invited guest and food that's delicious.
I DEMOLISHED my meal and intend to come back often 100% no hyperbole.

Got good d today and it’s horrible. Plantains are soggy, vegetables taste like vinegar was used to cook them and rice and peas rice is soggy. Spent $49 for nothing

Uh uh. This is not it. I had to pull over after I ate to throw up. First and last time I threw up during my pregnancy. Same person on the register served my food and I didn’t see him wash his hands.
the jerk chicken dinner was really good, for my first time having jamaican food it exceeded my expectations 10/10

Food was good. If you want to try the oxtail and the fish call to check if they have them because they only prepare limited amounts. The place can get hot it only has a fan. I think it's better for take out. Prices are a little high for the location but food it's tasty and authentic.

best food I’ve ever had The flavor is amazing everything is well-seasoned and full of taste The jerk chicken was juicy, smoky and a little spicy, and the rice, peas and plantains made it even better I would definitely eat it again, and I recommend everyone to try it at least once you won’t regret it.
