macarons are good but not worth dealing with the extremely disrespectful employee at the counter who gave me an up and down look with a scrunched nose when I approached the counter today, so unprofessional and rude behavior, will not be coming again if your employees are all like this

We picked up a bag of the macaroons at this shop at UTC Mall in La Jolla to snack on while shopping. Kiosk ambiance with cute and colorful display. There was a wide selection of macaroons/pastries to choose from. Macaroons were small, decently executed but pricey.

The lady working was incredibly passive aggressive and the napoleon was even more disappointing. The puff pastry is flavorless and stale, the custard was congealed from sitting for so long and tasted of copious amounts of powdered sugar. True custard does not require that much sugar to remain stable and succulent. The chocolate coating on top is so fake that it completely crumbled apart while trying to take a bite. For a $9 pastry, please spend your money elsewhere.

For over-priced low quality mall junk - this takes the metaphorical cake. Dry, awful cardboard tasting macarons. Pretty sure costco has better.

absolutely disgusting and a disgrace to macarons around the world. they are flavorless grease balls that are not worth the price they cost. staff was not welcoming by any means.

Not what we expected, today we got two flavors.Birthday cake flavor was good on the outside, the inside was a flavorless greasy lump.The red one had a name of something like cherry and chocolate hazelnut on the inside but was really dry and the chocolate part tasted pretty bad.Maybe we’ll get lucky next time.

Yomi yomi

The macarons seem frozen/thawed. Some taste overcooked. Some have no filling. Didn’t even finish the box we bought. Big disappointment.
