And good coffee! Nice environment
Went to the one on Adam’s. The guy was closing at 10:30 and rushing me out even though I’d just arrived. Posted hours were open until 11pm so not sure what was up. The printer took my money and then didn’t work and the attendant didn’t know how to, or perhaps just couldn’t be bothered to fix the machine or refund me. Cost me $15 for nothing.

Good service, open late, good coffee, ok ambiance
Guy working had no idea if the avocados were ripe for the toast. But it was good. They allow smoking on the patio. Not cool. 🙄
Drinks are good.

Bought hot chocolate, avocado toast, vegan cupcake, and two lattes, and was still harassed for “taking up a table during exam week.” Chill, dude. You ruined the vibe.

The service and vibe of Lestat's is great with a relaxed environment and super upbeat and helpful staff. The limited food menu is a bit tricky but there's plenty of coffee with alternative milk options.
Pro tip: Spend time checking out the art!

Lestat's isn't cool anymore. They have air conditioning now and it sprays mist all over people in the seating area. The no outside food or drinks policy is new too. The pandemic ruined everything.

The owner of this place is going to be the reason it closes down. The coffee is weak and overpriced and, even if you buy something, the owner makes sure his employees are prodding customers to buy more or leave even if there's no one there. I'm not mad at the employee, they weren't rude and they actually looked very uncomfortable when they spoke to me, it's obvious that they're just trying to keep their jobs. I was actually contemplating getting food then that happened.
What's the point in having tables if you're going to shove people out asap? That's a bad business model anyway; shooing people out makes sure they definitely won't buy anything and they may never come back.
I have been coming here since 2008 (when i moved to San Diego) and it's just gotten worse and worse. I use to love being here for the atmosphere and especially the art and local stuff posted around the place but now it's stuffy and hostile and i don't feel comfortable going to this cafe anymore.

$1.10 UPCHARGE for taking oat milk in my SMALL coffee instead of cow breastmilk is outrageous.
