Lestat's on Adams Avenue is a place and a state of mind. The Lestat's community could easily land in Greenwich Village New York, Capitol Hill Seattle, Haight-Ashbury San Francisco, East 6th Street Austin and on and on.
By the way, the baristas are nice and easy on the eyes, if you know what I mean!
I was the house photographer for Comedy Heights in the Lestat's entertainment venue.
Al Gavi and Maria Herman produce a weekly top notch show...
I’ve been going to lestats since I was just a child really. I haven’t been since 2018 maybe when we moved. But I can tell you I’ve known horrible humans in my life not by choice. But fate led me to John a sweet gay man who ran a 24/7 coffee house. And I’ve loved coffee since age 5. When times were hard a lonely girl could get a hot cup of coffee and use the wifi even and hang out. John took in many of us. I was one of the pre 98-2006 post crew that practically lived here....
Went to the one on Adam’s. The guy was closing at 10:30 and rushing me out even though I’d just arrived. Posted hours were open until 11pm so not sure what was up. The printer took my money and then didn’t work and the attendant didn’t know how to, or perhaps just couldn’t be bothered to fix the machine or refund me. Cost me $15 for nothing.
