Little Italy Bar & Grill

This is our neighborhood spot, we enjoy this place a couple times per month. The food, drinks and service are amazing. All employees are helpful and friendly, consistent service every time. Great job

Nice place. Could use more sound dampening. We had the a fish mini taco, a shrimp mini taco, and the gyro plate. Food was good. Didn't quite get the gyro plate though - essentially a deconstructed gyro with medium sized pita bread - too small to really combine with the meat and greek salad for a mini-gyro, and too large to eat with a fork and knife. It needed instructions.

This Italian restaurant was closed and replaced with a sports bar called Junction bar and grill. This was not mentioned by Opentable and we were misled. So it was not the Italian restaurant that we expected for Valentines day. Very disappointing.

Not an Italian restaurant! Open Table needs to update the information about this restaurant. It is named The Junction. It's a sports bar with nice decor, lots of energy, and pretty good food. The menu is eclectic from sandwiches, steaks, burgers, pasta, and more. I had the Phillly cheesesteak, which was really good. Fries and zucchini are excellent.

Horrible, very, very loud music. We asked to turn it down a bit..that lasted 5 minutes. It was as if they were trying to force us to leave. Too bad, as we like the food and the sports bar atmosphere.

Newly rebranded restaurant. Service was outstanding. Ask for Brandi as your server. She was very professional and courteous especially providing input to menu options. If you are a sports fan they have 20+ large screen TV's installed. Can accommodate both inside and patio dining. Happy hour on drinks all day, everyday! This was our first visit, will definetly go back. Encourage you to also try!

Great food and appetizers. Half price happy hour is nice too.

This restaurant is no longer Italian, which is what we were expecting. It is now a noisy Junction Bar & Grill. The food is so-so bar food, the music is too loud, and so were the patrons, who were apparently enjoying a Happy Hour lunch. Disappointed to say the least.

We were a little disconcerted with the no wearing of masks by all the personnel inside the restaurant. As we are approaching the June 15th date of a fully opened California I would think that all establishments would still be abiding by the current health mandate here in California and particularly San Diego.

Journey. It changed its name but still has excellent food. Lots of TV for sports.

** Junction bar and grill **! This is no longer Little Italy !To bad we were craving Italian. The steak we very good. The service was very good. When we are in the mood for a sports bar we'll come back. I miss Little Italy.

Took my wife and daughter here for dinner because we were craving Italian food. Turns out, they changed their name so it no longer Little Italy. Their menu has also changed. It's more American bar food like burgers and stuff. The food was ok, service was great. The only problem is that 95% of the workers were not wearing masks.

The food was really awful. When asked what menu item was most popular, our waitress avoided the question...we realized why when our food was delivered. My Reuben sandwich was terrible...meat tasted old and fried. My companion's pizza was mushy and inedible. I didn't ask my other two friends about their food, but noticed no one finished their meal. Additionally, the signage doesn't reflect the "new name," Little Bar and Grill...probably for good reason. The poor waitress was good...the only positive thing about our meal.

This restaurant is no longer called "Little Italy." It is now "The Junction," with a sports bar theme. This was the first time we'd been to the restaurant since the switch, and for us it was not a move for the better. The furnishings are cold and sterile and the walls are plastered with TVs right on top of each other. I get that TVs with sports are a staple, and I have enjoyed watching games at these types of bars in the past, but it seemed like overkill, especially considering they were showing just three different games at the time. Other than the TVs there is no other indication this is a place where sports fans hang out. When we entered the restaurant the music was really loud and annoying. When we asked if the volume could be lowered a bit, the server told us no because they are a sports bar now and this is their vibe. Fortunately the music eventually got better and quieter. The menu is a mish mash of sports bar fare bolted on to a pared down version of the former Little Italy menu. The food was fine but we won't be rushing back. This is neither a truly classic sports bar nor a good place for a pleasant dinning experience any longer.

So happy to come and sit on their patio with heaters and dine out! Service was wonderful and the servers and hostess' were polite and engaging. Food was great--def bar food but flavorful. A gem in the middle of suburbia!
