The restaurant smelled terrible when we first walked in. The broths were super oily and the meat looked so disgusting that we didn’t even bother to touch it! They charge extra for mushroom and spinach! Don’t know how they have 4.4 stars

Alex is a great server. Alex was focused on providing specific, honest, and helpful details while eating.

I had such a fantastic experience at this hot pot restaurant! From the moment we walked in, Alex was warm, welcoming, and attentive, making sure we understood the menu and guiding us through the different broth and ingredient options.

The broths were incredibly flavorful — we tried both the hot spicy vegetable broth and the mushroom base, and they balanced each other perfectly. I highly recommend this spot to anyone who wants authentic hot pot!

Excellent hotpot experience at Liuyishou! The broth was rich and flavorful, and the AYCE option offered fantastic variety with over 100 items . Service was prompt, and the Convoy Street location was convenient . A must-visit for hotpot lovers in San Diego!

One of the best and cleanest China hot pot spot in the universe. Promise you won’t get the runs afterwards. Great food selection and a ton of soup base to choose from. Oh and they have the best selection of dipping sauce as well. Must try if you’re visiting the San Diego area. I drove nearly an hour and half in traffic for dinner.

I like this place so much, everything is really good, and I love the service, they’re friendly and fast. I like the location so many places to go nearby, but the only thing is the parking 😬 is it a little limited, more Fridays and weekend. Prices are reasonable, highly recommended. 👌🥤❤️

this place is HORRIBLE please keep in mind they charge a mandatory 18%tip. and do not tell you until the end. my daughter went here with her group of friends for prom and she ordered 2 all you can eats. she is only 16 years old and LOOKS only 16 years old and did not know that all you can eat was only meant for one person (which was clearly her fault) how ever, she tried to explain to the manager that they did not know and the manager screamed at her threatened to call the police on them instead of trying to help them figure it out. my daughter called me in tears and upset that this happened. i was absolutely furious and called the restaurant. the manager was extremely rude and kept lying saying that “she didn’t know they were kids” when they were all dressed for prom! the manager kept talking over me and wouldn’t allow me to speak. i told her that i would be writing a review and she said she would respond. ofcourse with an obvious lie! just be warned that this is NOT a place for kids and they forced teenagers to pay a tip and it was their first time going out together. no establishment should ever demand a tip on any party! a tip is a tip for a reason and for good customer service! not just because! we will not be coming back here again and i will be telling all my friends and family to not come back here again!

1. yes, your rules about 18% sure are written in the book.. VERY VERY VERY tiny, where nobody can see. thank god for this post. now everyone will ACTUALLY KNOW

2. THE MANAGER came up to my daughter table and stated “you all look very nice! is this graduation?” they all then replied “NO! ITS FOR OUR PROM!” you asked. they told you guys. my daughter even stated to the owner that she is only 16 and she didn’t understand.

3. if you all read on below the comments, you will see another customer state that they ALSO hated their experience because they TOO were getting yelled at and witnessed all the staff yelling at each other… are you sure about that?

please be honest. there is no reason to be dishonest. doesn’t not look good for your company. i am an honest reviewer. it’s my job. take care.

The food was so good. Broth is flavorful. Everything is clean. Definitely coming back.

Came as a tourist and the best I had in a while our server was the best!
