Spicy City Reviews
The food was good, scratched the Szechuan itch, and the staff were incredibly kind. After a mix up with a phone order they replaced the dish for the difference in price between the two items and when I didn’t have cash to pay it the owner insisted I just take the food and kindly swept me out the door. They certainly have my business in the future
The food was delicious and served promptly and was exactly as described and pictured.
Standouts were green beans, soup dumplings, fried fish with vegetables ln broth; and sizzling beef.
Large portions at a very reasonable price.
The food is delicious, if you can handle the spice in some of it. The place doesn't have the best decoration, but since we weren't there for the atmosphere, we spent a great time savoring all the dishes we ordered: steamed dumplings, vegetable fried rice, spicy pork, and fish. The service is not fast; I think it takes enough time to prepare the food. They sell Chinese beer. We do recommend the place

Spicy City offers a variety of Chinese dishes, with standout options including dry pepper chicken, mapo tofu, stir fry shredded pork, stir fry all veggies, and fish head with hot pepper. The restaurant has a small dining area and limited parking, especially on Fridays, but it is highly regarded for its authentic and delicious food, particularly its mapo tofu. The menu is large and diverse, featuring dishes like Spicy Chicken Dry Pot Chef's Special, Green Bean, Salt and Pepper Pork, Seafood with Bean Curd, Shred Pork with brown sauce and buns, and Special Sweet Rice Ball Soup. Many customers mention that the food is excellent and tastes close to what they experienced in China, especially the Szechuan dishes. Portions are generous and reasonably priced, making it a popular spot for dine-in or takeout. Diners often return for favorites like hot and sour soup and pan-fried dumplings, and the staff is known for being friendly and helpful, making guests feel at home. Although some reviews note that the food can be oily and may contain MSG, the flavors remain superb. Overall, Spicy City is a recommended place for authentic Chinese dining in the area, and it continues to introduce new dishes for customers to try.
